  • Publication number: 20100213778
Abstract: An electromechanical device or magnetic motor includes a plurality of rotor magnet assemblies, a plurality of drive magnet assemblies that are laterally moveable with respect to the rotor magnet assemblies, a timing assembly for generating power pulses selectively supplied to the drive magnet assemblies, and electromagnetic coils associated with the drive magnet assemblies to receive the power pulses from the timing assembly to momentarily disrupt the magnetic field of such assemblies at selected times. The magnetic assemblies of the rotor mechanically rotate a shaft and interact with alternator windings to generate electrical power. The magnetic motor is self-contained with start/stop, rotational speed, diagnostics, global positioning, CPU and interface capability.

  • Publication number: 20100131296
Abstract: An Internet based health data system for providing patient medical, health, insurance and related data via the Internet, to a plurality of potential users including the patient based on profile and security that complies with all regulations including the HIPAA Act. The system registers and maintains an individual's health data by adding a meta-data wrapper thereto that then determines applicability-to-use cases defined by system logic. A patient profile is also used to recommend and independently search the Internet for appropriate information to benefit the patient and potential stakeholders and caretakers of the patient. Each profile and related data is interactively developed with regard to the individual patient and the other participant users including physicians, insurance institutions, hospitals, laboratories, family genetics, health care facilities, government agencies, etc. and stored in a relational database to be continuously updated through a patient's lifetime.

  • Publication number: 20090191057
Abstract: A wind energy to electrical power conversion device provides a protected multiple turbine mechanism axially aligned to convert kinetic energy of air movement, i.e. wind (or other moving fluid such as water), into rotational mechanical power to directly create electrical energy by the reaction of the wind with the turbine. The present wind energy to electrical power conversion device may either be configured as a vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) or horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT). An associated wind gathering sail automatically repositions itself to maximize wind intake and to collect and concentrate the wind prior to converting the wind into energy via the axially aligned multi-turbine mechanism into electrical energy. The remaining wind is released via a leeward-facing exhaust. The present axially aligned multi-turbine mechanism avoids interference by birds and other outside objects due to its inherent structural visibility.

  • Patent number: 7050753
Abstract: A system and method provides content or material such as educational, informational, or learning content from existing and/or third party content on a network such as the Internet and disseminates the content via the network to a user by correlating the culled content to a user's learning profile. The system preferably pushes the content to the user after correlation of content to the user's learning profile. The user's learning profile includes data regarding a user's learning proclivities and/or preferences of a user's learning profile. The system scans and/or searches the Internet for the existing content. The system stores data about the scanned content particularly with respect to the content itself and relative to the classifications, categories, and/or categorization of learning proclivities and/or preferences. Particularly, the system stores data regarding the elements and/or characteristics of the content with respect to the learning proclivities and/or preferences.

  • Publication number: 20020087416
Abstract: A system for providing content such as educational, informational, or learning content that is obtained from the Internet and disseminated via the Internet to a user. The content is culled from the vast amount of content accessible via the Internet according to various user profiles. The content may be filtered and formatted as appropriate for the user according to the various user profiles. Content may be gathered and disseminated in response to a predetermined learning plan, or on the fly via a user configurable GUI. The content may also be coordinated and indexed to each users profile. A profile is interactively developed from the individual, stored in a relational database, and continuously updated from an individual's learning results. The educational material is converted into contemporary, multi-tiered object oriented content utilizing Internet browser technology (i.e. HTML, VRML, HTTP/IIOP, Visual Basic, Active X, XML, RDF, Java-script, etc.

  • Patent number: 5806815
Abstract: A support structure, primarily for a trash or lawn bag is characterized by two identical bracing supports that are positioned to support the bag when staked into the ground. The bracing supports include a lower leg and an upper leg. Each leg is formed with a specific cross-sectional shape that allows the nesting and close coupling of the lower leg to the upper leg. An elbow or right angle member is releasably attached to the lower leg to fix the depth of the lower leg within the ground and trap the bag between the ground and the elbow member. Slidably received over the upper leg is a retainer clip having a right angle support and an opening having the same outer configuration as the cross-sectional shape of the legs such that the retainer clip may freely slide along the length of the upper leg member.
