  • Patent number: 5208599
Abstract: Electromagnetic absorber having serrations on a surface or surfaces thereof to reduce reflectivity of incident electromagnetic waves thereon. The serrations form a plurality of fins, the height of adjacent fins being spaced by a small distance. Preferably the total absorber wedge height is greater than about 1 wavelength at the lowest design frequency and the height between the serration tips is less than 1/4 wavelength at the lowest design frequency.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 4, 1993
    Assignee: Ohio State University
Inventors: Roger C. Rudduck, Walter D. Burnside, Chang-Fa Yang
  • Patent number: H514
Abstract: A compact range for testing antennas or radar targets includes a source for directing energy along a feedline toward a parabolic reflector. The reflected wave is a spherical wave with a radius dependent on the distance of the source from the focal point of the reflector.
