  • Patent number: 11942422
Abstract: A microelectronic device comprises a stack structure, a stadium structure within the stack structure, and conductive contact structures. The stack structure comprises a vertically alternating sequence of conductive structures and insulative structures arranged in tiers. Each of the tiers comprises one of the conductive structures and one of the insulative structures. The stadium structure comprises a forward staircase structure having steps comprising edges of the tiers, and a reverse staircase structure opposing the forward staircase structure and having additional steps comprising additional edges of the tiers. The conductive contact structures vertically extend to upper vertical boundaries of at least some of the conductive structures of the stack structure at the steps of the forward staircase structure and the additional steps of the reverse staircase structure, and are each integral and continuous with one of the conductive structures.

  • Patent number: 6403328
Abstract: A method of measuring erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), plasma viscosity, or plasma fibrinogen of a blood sample is provided. The method involves treating the blood sample with a suitable anti-coagulant, placing the treated sample in a micro-haemocrit tube and centrifuging the sample at, for example, 500 rpm or greater while continually monitoring the sample using an IR light source and detector to follow appropriate separation band development during centrifugation. Thus, continual monitoring of the sample during the centrifugation process is possible. Preferably, the sample is horizontal throughout the centrifugation process.

  • Patent number: 6127187
Abstract: Apparatus for analyzing blood or the like has a centrifuge rotor (10) with a means for visibly holding a sample, and a scanning arm (32) which traverses the rotor and includes a means (38) for sending light to the sample to detect the sample component interfaces. A second light source (40) may be provided for colorimetric inspection of the sample.

  • Patent number: 5336467
Abstract: A chemical analyzer includes a transport mechanism having a rotatable turntable adapted to hold a plurality of reagent test slides, a sample metering device, an incubator or temperature controller, a reflectometer and associated electronics and software. The rotatable turntable preferably holds up to twelve slides about its circumference, which slides are loaded onto the turntable by an inserter mechanism. The turntable positions the reagent test slides under the metering device, which device deposits a predetermined amount of sample onto each slide. The turntable also carries the slides above a reflectometer. After testing has been completed, an ejector mechanism automatically removes the reagent slides from the turntable.
