  • Patent number: 9308121
Abstract: A self-contained helical air distribution system for the body of an individual which can distribute air over both the chest and back of the individual, the system including a battery operated blower fan in communication with the plenum and manifold, the manifold having a plurality of tubular distribution conduits, each conduit having a capped end, the conduits extending over the chest and back of the body, the conduits formed with a spiral helix cut allowing the tubular conduits to react to the motion of the human body, the spiral helix cuts reacting to such movement, thereby allowing air to selectively escape from the expansion of these cuts providing a cooling and evaporate effect. With slight adaptation the air distribution system can distribute heated air and also be used to control the ambient temperature about inanimate objects, such as computers, electronic instruments, windshields, and car seats.

  • Patent number: 5977682
Abstract: An improved method for the manufacture of a compact brush guide holder assembly which is commonly found on machines in which electricity is to be transferred between an electrically conductive brush element as it moves and makes contact with a rotatable conductor such as a commutator. The brush holder assembly constructed of material that reduces antifrictional forces having a guiding channel or chamber defined by upper and lower curvilinear surface for supporting the electrically conductive brush element which receives compressed tension from a fixed non-removable constant force spring which is composed of a beam uncoiled section in addition to a coiled section having integrally fixed mounted Teflon bushings that are free to ride and float horizontally and vertically on mounting post that pass through its center.

  • Patent number: 5905323
Abstract: An improved method for the manufacture of a compact brush guide holder assembly which is commonly found on machines in which electricity is to be transferred between an electrically conductive brush element as it moves and makes contact with a rotatable conductor such as a commutator. The brush holder assembly has an open body guiding channel, or chamber, for supporting the electrically conductive brush element which receives compressed tension from a fixed non-removable constant force spring which is composed of a beam uncoiled section in addition to a coiled section having fixed mounted Teflon bushings that are free to ride and float horizontally and vertically on mounting post that pass through its center. Upon compression, the contour structural integrity and memory characteristics of the constant force spring are maintained as it self adjusts to the dynamic loads and tension requirements of a rush as it biases a commutator.
