Abstract: A cleaning tool for an optical surface, particularly well adapted to the cleaning of optical surfaces which access is difficult.The cleaning tool includes an injector (8) which can send a cleaning liquid, and then a drying gas, under pressure onto the optical surface (2), and a jacket (9) for the evacuation of the cleaning and drying fluids. The tool has a neck (13) to fit onto an optical tip associated with an optical fiber.

Abstract: The invention relates to connectors for optical transmission lines. It more specifically relates to an end fitting for an optical fibre connector, comprising at least one substantially cylindrical locating sleeve in which an optical monofibre is fixed. According to the invention the locating sleeve is provided with orientation means in the form of a ball joint permitting the sleeve to pivot within the end fitting. Preferably the ball joint comprises an elastic O-ring ensuring the sealing of the optical cable.

In order to assure that the extraction step is not started until after the end of the unlocking step carried out by the lever (21), the invention provides for the manual force to act solely on the unlocking lever (21) and for the unlocking lever (21) subsequently to act on the extracting lever (25), the necessary delay between the two steps being ensured by creating a distance (L) between the two levers.
