  • Patent number: 11949718
Abstract: An overlay to existing infrastructure that establishes trusted paths in a communication network to fulfill a fundamental need to identify and protect a trusted plane of devices and/or applications on a need specific basis is described. Establishing trusted paths operationally fulfills a fundamental need to identify and protect a trusted plane of devices and/or applications on a need specific basis as an overlay to the existing relatively unsecured network.

Date of Patent: April 2, 2024
    Assignee: ARRIS Enterprises LLC
Inventors: Christopher Poli, Roger D Gahman
  • Patent number: 11729443
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method receives a network topology of a distributed access architecture and a legacy video network. Video streams include characteristics that are associated with delivery via the legacy video network. The method selects a set of anchor points for a remote physical device in the distributed access architecture where the set of anchor points are associated with a geographic location of the remote physical device. A set of attribute labels are selected for the set of anchor points where the set of attribute labels associated with characteristics of the video streams. The method then generates a definition of video streams based on the anchor points and the attribute labels for a remote physical device configuration and generates the remote physical device configuration for video. The remote physical device configuration is used to provide the video streams to the remote physical device.

  • Publication number: 20080120636
Abstract: A method and system allows a user to provide a customized list of user defined words which are used to provide a rating to audio/video data. The user provides the user defined words to an electronic device that stores the user defined words. The electronic device searches the audio/video content and compares the audio data of the content to the user defined words. A number of instances in which the user defined words occur in the content is determined and a rating may be assigned to the content based on predetermined rating thresholds.
