  • Patent number: 8011109
Abstract: A level of the type having an elongate hollow frame including two sidewalls each defining axially aligned vial openings into the frame. A vial casing is secured with respect to the frame and defines a hermetically sealed single-cavity casing interior entirely enclosing a liquid-and-bubble vial with a substantially cylindrical outer surface extending between two vial ends. The casing is formed of two opposite round face-walls and a surrounding cylindrical wall therebetween. The cylindrical wall has a pair of opposed major wall-portions of first thickness and a pair of opposed intervening wall-portions of second thickness greater than the first thickness. Each intervening wall-portion defines a recess which snugly receives a corresponding one of the vial ends.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 27, 2009
Date of Patent: September 6, 2011
    Assignee: Empire Level Mfg. Corp.
Inventors: John Christianson, Roger D. Stanford

  • Patent number: 6840756
Abstract: An adjustable core pin for molding vials for use in levels and those vials molded using the adjustable core pin are disclose. The core pin includes an elongate rod with a crest at its cross section with the greatest diameter and a rod retainer with a cavity which receives the rod such that the distal end of the rod projects from a rod retainer distal opening, the rod being adjustable in relation to the rod retainer so that the crest can be adjustably placed at a preferred position in a molding cavity for vial molding.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 11, 2005
    Assignee: Empire Level Mfg. Corp.

  • Patent number: 6673283
Abstract: An adjustable core pin, and method of use thereof, for molding vials for use in levels, including an elongate rod with a barrel-shaped distal section having a crest at its cross section with the greatest diameter and a rod retainer with a cavity which receives the rod such that the distal end of the rod projects from a rod retainer distal opening, the rod being adjustable in relation to the rod retainer so that the crest can be adjustably placed at a preferred position in a molding cavity for vial molding.
