  • Publication number: 20020198514
Abstract: The present invention relates to a medical device guide, such as a template guide. The device guide includes a frame a frame having a plurality of network supports. A wire network is supported by the network supports thereby forming a plurality of meshes. A medical device may be inserted through one of the meshes to guide a position of the medical device.

  • Patent number: 6036632
Abstract: A sterile disposable template grid system for positioning and implanting medical implants is disclosed. In one embodiment, the disposable template grid includes an attachment element that joins a front portion having front channels and a rear portion having rear channels so that the front channels align with the rear channels to form passages which allow medical implants to pass from the front portion through the rear portion. In another embodiment, the disposable template grid includes an insert having channels; a bracket sized to removably receive and support the insert and having apertures; and an alignment element for aligning the apertures with the channels to allow medical implants to pass from the apertures through the channels. Although the disposable template grid can be used with a wide variety of implants, it is particularly well suited for the radioactive seed containing needles used in brachytherapy.

  • Patent number: 5931786
Abstract: Apparatus for a medical instrument includes bracket member having a cavity dimensioned and configured to receive at least a portion of the medical instrument; carriage member defining a recess adapted to rotationally support the bracket member; base assembly adapted to be slidably connected to support the carriage member; grid support member adapted to be connected to one end of the base assembly; and template grid, coupled to the grid support member, the template grid having a plurality of grid apertures. In one preferred embodiment, the medical instrument is an ultrasound probe.

  • Patent number: 5749811
Abstract: A ski simulation device for providing training and/or exercise includes a support frame, a track mounted on the support frame, and a pair of foot platforms supported on the track. The foot platforms are each independently slidably supported on track cars which slide along the track. The foot platforms are also independently rotatable around a generally vertical axis on the track and are each independently rotatable around a horizontal axis to enable edging, etc. The track is rotatably supported on the support frame in a pivot bushing at an inclined angle for rotation about the inclined angle. This enables the track to rotate when one's weight is at one side thereof. In addition, the support frame is flexibly mounted on a floor frame via flexible mounts which enable tilting, flexibility, etc., so as to greater simulate actual skiing.

  • Patent number: 5279220
Abstract: An apparatus for silk screening numbers onto uniforms, the apparatus comprises a base, support means on the base for mounting a plurality of numbered silk screens, one silk screen after the other, with the silk screens in axial alignment with each other and with the axis of the support and with the screens transverse the axis. Each silk screen is mounted on the support so as to be rotatable from a first position transverse the support axis to a second position in parallel alignment with the support axis and in alignment with a platen horizontally disposed on the base in parallel alignment with the screen support. The platen has a surface for supporting a uniform member to be silk screen numbered and the support, with the silk screens mounted thereon and the platen are axially movable relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 4656680
Abstract: A baby is oscillated to sleep by placing it in a carrier and pivoting the carrier in oscillation about a horizontal axis adjacent the foot end of the carrier by means of a rotating cam which provides a special predetermined motion that is effective to induce the baby to sleep. The carrier is removably mounted on a carrier support which is pivoted to an underlying base for oscillation about the aforementioned axis to impart similar motion to the carrier. The can and its drive means is mounted on the base and enclosed together with the base by the carrier support. In the preferred embodiment, wheels are mounted to the base to allow the apparatus to be moved back and forth over a ground surface.
