  • Patent number: 11967256
Abstract: A two-ply liner-label and liner-label-roll are provided. A front side of a liner is coated with a release coating. The liner also includes a plurality of die cut tabs that at least partially align with a second die cut label in the label. The backside of the label is coated with an adhesive material and applied to the front side of the liner to form a liner-label roll. The tabs remain affixed to their corresponding individual labels when the labels are removed for placement on packaging; thereby, leaving holes in the liner as the liner is wound into a waste-liner roll within an auto applicator machine.

  • Patent number: 11945251
Abstract: A direct thermal and thermal transfer label combination is provided. The label includes a substrate, and the substrate includes a thermal print coating applied to a front side of the substrate. The label also includes a liner attached to a backside of the substrate along a first side of the liner. Further, an aqueous resin-based thermal transfer coating is applied to a second side of the liner. The front side of the label is capable of being imaged through direct thermal printing while the second side of the liner represents an opposite side of the label that is capable of being imaged through thermal transfer printing.

  • Publication number: 20220013041
Abstract: A dual label combination is provided. The label combination includes a label substrate, and the label substrate is die cut with at least three separate labels. The label combination also includes a liner substrate attached to a back side of the label substrate. The label substrate including at least two die cuts with one of the die cuts defining a liner label that corresponds to one of the at least three labels of the label substrate. A back side of the liner substrate includes a coating for imaging on the liner substrate with: inkjet, laser, direct thermal, or thermal transfer printing. The liner label and the corresponding label of the label substrate separable from the label combination by a manufactured pull tab substantially centered at a bottom of the liner label of the liner substrate and the corresponding label of the label substrate.

  • Publication number: 20200175894
Abstract: A label with one or more removable components is provided. The label includes a substrate having a front side and a back side. A first area is defined within the front side and the back side of the substrate. A second area is defined within the front side and the back side of the substrate, the second area representing an independent-removable label from the label. In an embodiment, a method of printing the label with one or more removable components is provided. Print data is identified as confidential data and non-confidential data. The print data is reformatted so that the confidential data is imaged/printed by a printer in just the second area of the front side representing the independent-removable label.
