  • Publication number: 20240393092
Abstract: A multifunction primer pocket correction tool that combines three cutting features in a single hand tool for use in ammunition reloading. The tool operates to cut the primer pocket depth, removes the military crimp and chamfers the leading edge of the flash hole in a single process. This combined tool includes a new technology in an external flash hole chamfer. This adds another level of safety and consistency with each casing, while still chamfering, and end milling the primer pocket, all while using the base of the casing as a backstop for consistent depth of cut.

  • Publication number: 20240302147
Abstract: A Ported Press Adapter Expand Mandrel System (PPAEMS) includes a Ported Press Adapter (PPA) as a significant advancement beyond the Expand Mandrel Window Riser (EMWR) by adding multiple radial holes to provide increased light intrusion, full 360° visibility, and balanced stress distribution with a pattern of port holes, slots, or other openings. Additional clarity is provided by an ancillary light source directed into the working area. Utilizing a small diameter Mandrel Holder (MH) allows for a wide range of mandrel diameters for installation in tight working areas (coax and progressive presses) and improves axially precision with a fine thread pitch.

  • Publication number: 20240280353
Abstract: An ergonomic casing and tool holder (ECTH) primarily for use in reloading of firearm ammunition and hand-held tool holding. This holder can secure casings frontwards or backwards. The wide clamping range of various collets/chucks allow for holding any variety of casings or tools. The protrusion of casings or tools is set by various adjustable backstops. The design allows a reduced clamping load for collapsing commercially available double angle collets.

  • Patent number: 7955468
Abstract: An infrared light source focuses infrared energy onto a work surface through the open end of a concentrator. The open end of the concentrator includes an elastomeric seal for sealably coupling the end of the concentrator directly to a work piece. Pneumatic pressure is applied through the concentrator and the seal to urge the work pieces together during the heating process to complete the weld. The method of infrared (IR) welding includes the steps of applying concentrated IR energy to at least one thermoplastic member while simultaneously applying pneumatic pressure to the work pieces for welding one member to another.
