    Abstract: Configuration of a candidate channel for a network node is caused. The candidate channel comprises a frequency band within an unestablished region of frequency spectrum with unknown modulation support from endpoint devices. A plurality of signal measurements for the candidate channel are received. Each of the plurality of signal measurements is generated by a corresponding endpoint device of a plurality of endpoint devices assigned to the network node. Based at least in part on the plurality of signal measurements, channel viability information is generated indicating whether the candidate channel is viable for each of the endpoint devices. The candidate channel is identified as a viable channel based on the channel viability information.
