  • Patent number: 4579543
Abstract: An animated figure toy (10) includes an upper torso (14) provided with a pair of heads (18, 19) and a pair of arms (20, 21) rotatably fixed to shoulder portions (24, 26) by spring assembly (27, 28). The arms may be pulled back and released so as to strike the head on the opposite side of the upper torso. A lower torso (16) is rotatably mounted on the upper torso by means of a boss (76) coupling the torsos together for relative rotation, and includes legs (22, 23) rotatably mounted therein, and held together by a single connector (29).

  • Patent number: 4573944
Abstract: A toy vehicle having an arm with a ball at the end thereof pivotable relative to an axle of the vehicle from a nested position to a position forward of the vehicle, the mechanism being actuated by depression of a push lever, upon which a spring-biased rack member is mannually actuated against the force of the spring to a rearward position, the rack member engaging a pinion gear member rotatable relative to the axle, which, through a clutch controlled coupling device pivots the arm and ball about the axle into engagement with the surface or an object in advance of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4386639
Abstract: A normally closed drain valve is substituted for the normal drain plug in a conventional automobile crank case. Rather than remove the normally provided drain plug each time the oil is to be drained, it is only necessary to open the drain valve. Opening of this valve is accomplished by a specially designed coupler connected to a plastic bag. The arrangement is such that when the coupler is urged over the drain valve and twisted, the valve automatically opens to fill the bag with oil. The coupler can then be twisted back to its original position to close the drain valve and removed with the bag containing the oil. The entire operation can be accomplished only using one hand and with substantially no risk of oil spilling or soiling the operator.

  • Patent number: 4373289
Abstract: A toy trap door mechanism is disclosed which includes a trap door pivotably mounted within and flush to a panel which simulates the floor of a castle. A chair in the shape of a throne is rotatably mounted to the floor in the vicinity of the trap door. An actuating lever is pivotably mounted to the underside of the floor and is operatively coupled to both the chair and the trap door. When the chair is rotated from a first position facing an observer to a second position facing the trap door, the lever unlatches the trap door which swings open. Holding the trap door in the closed position and rotating the chair to the first position resets the mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4217726
Abstract: A doll having a first leg secured to the torso for pivotal movement relative thereto with the other leg hingedly coupled to the torso for pivotal movement about a fore-to-aft axis. The head member is interconnected through gear devices to the first leg, relative displacement between the first and second leg members can result in tilting the torso relative to the second leg member and rotating of the head in response to pivoting of the first leg member.

  • Patent number: 4182076
Abstract: An animated doll configured in the form of a ballerina having a crown on the head thereof connected to an actuating member on the longitudinal center line of the doll, the other end of the member having a cam. One leg can be detented to a fixed position in vertical alignment with the torso of the doll with the other leg thereof being pivotally coupled to the torso with a crank affixed thereto for co-acting with the cam for causing the leg to kick. The actuating member has a square shaft portion engaging a mating aperture within a drive gear which is driven by a motor fixedly coupled within the torso. Upon holding the crown, the doll rotates and one leg can be pivoted by depressing the crown.
