  • Publication number: 20080007146
Abstract: A document handling apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a cabinet within which is housed a frame to which a number of feed modules are mounted. Feed cassettes containing banknotes may be removeably inserted into each of the feed modules which are operable to feed notes from the cassettes to a stacker and delivery module via a document transport. Dispensing of documents is performed on receipt of an appropriate command, typically from an external personal computer, and overall operation of the banknote dispenser is controlled by a controller printed circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20060032682
Abstract: A skateboard includes a motorized drive assembly and a motorized brake assembly, both operable with a wireless remote control to be carried by a rider. The drive assembly is free-wheeling permitting normal use of the skateboard in the event of battery depletion. The brake system includes a motor operable through a simple machine structure to move a brake pad against a brake disk mounted against a wheel. A self-adjustment mechanism presets the brake pad a predetermined distance from the disk prior to brake application. Motor enertia is relied on to store potential energy in a wheel axel in accordance with an associated method of operation.

  • Publication number: 20040163867
Abstract: A vehicle for transporting a rider includes a platform for supporting the rider and at least one skate truck coupled to the platform and including a housing. An axel included in the skate truck extends through the housing to support a wheel having a rotational relationship with both the housing and the platform. Motive power rotates the wheel relative to the platform a free-wheel bearing includes first portions coupled to the wheel and second portions coupled to the motive power. The second portions of the bearing have a fixed relationship with the first portions of the bearing when rotated in a first relative direction, and have a free-wheeling relationship with the first portions of the bearing when rotated in a second relative direction opposite to the first relative direction. When the motive power comprises a motor, portions of the platform can be adapted to receive a battery.
