    Abstract: A blade or vane for a gas turbine engine has a cooled shroud made of two pieces, one of which is integral with the aerofoil and has formed on its surface distant from the aerofoil a plurality of convoluted grooves. The second piece overlays the first and closes the open faces of the grooves to form convoluted passages which are fed with cooling fluid from duct means.
