  • Patent number: 8733073
Abstract: A system for cutting, windrowing, and baling material in a single pass. The system has a tractor, a windrower for windrowing material, a baler for baling material that passes through the windrower, a conveying assembly attached to an outlet opening of the windrower, and a connecting assembly for connecting the tractor, the windrower, and the baler. The conveying assembly moves material from the outlet opening of the windrower toward an inlet of the baler.

  • Patent number: 7150419
Abstract: The sprayer trailer has a trailer frame with a font end and a rear end. A pair of wheels are connected to the trailer frame. A hitch assembly includes a rear mast with a lower end connected to the trailer frame and a front mast with a front mast top end connected to a rear mast top end. A vertical guide assembly is mounted on the hitch assembly. A hitch connector assembly portion is mounted on a front mast lower end. A vertical guide assembly is mounted on the hitch assembly. A boom support frame is slidable on the vertical guide assembly. A sprayer boom center section is supported by the boom support frame. • Patent number: 7073816
Abstract: An adjustable width trailer including a center frame with a center deck, and attached tongue and an attached guide beam that is transverse to the direction of forward movement. Left and right wheel support assemblies are slidably mounted on the guide beam. Left and right tire and wheel assemblies are attached to the wheel support assemblies by suspension assemblies. A left wing frame and a right wing frame, with wing decks are pivotally attached to the center frame, when the wheel support assemblies are in inboard positions, the wing frames are folded. When the wheel support assemblies are slid on the guide beam to outboard positions, the left and right wheels are outboard from the sides of the center frame and the left and right wing frames sit on the adjacent wheel support assemblies and are held in horizontal positions.

  • Patent number: 6314666
Abstract: The material moving blade has a moldboard assembly with a lower moldboard portion and an upper moldboard portion. A hinge connects the upper moldboard portion to the lower moldboard portion for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis. An upper cutting bar with an upper bar working edge is clamped to a top edge of the upper moldboard portion. A lower cutting bar with a lower bar working edge is clamped to a bottom edge of the lower moldboard portion. An actuator pivots the upper moldboard portion about the horizontal axis in one direction to a position in which the upper cutting bar is above the lower moldboard portion and in another direction to a position in which the upper bar working edge is below the lower bar working edge and the upper moldboard material contact surface faces rearward.

  • Patent number: 6119608
Abstract: The planer row unit has a unit frame with a front member that is adapted to be secured to a tool bar. A sub frame is secured to the front member by parallel links. A furrow opener disk, a seed shoe and a gauge wheel are secured to the subframe.A cam plate supported by a spring to the rear of the seed shoe presses seeds into moist soil in the bottom of a seed furrow. A seed covering disc is supported by a covering disc shank to the rear and to one side of the furrow opener. The covering disc has a circular plate portion that faces downwardly and forwardly, moves loose soil from the furrow opener into the seed furrow and rotates about a central axis that extends downwardly from a horizontal plane. A flange, with notches extends radially outward and rearwardly from the outer periphery of the circular plate portion, rolls and slides along the surface and limits soil penetration by the covering disk.

  • Patent number: 5540290
Abstract: The toolbar (10) includes a center section (12), a first wing (14) and a second wing (16). The first wing (14) is pivotally attached to the center section (12) by a first wing pivot pin (132). A double acting hydraulic cylinder (154) for pivoting the first wing (14) relative to the center section (12) is pivotally attached to the center section and to a lift link (146) which is also attached to the first wing by a pin (148). The lift link (146) increases the range of movement of the first wing (14) relative to first wing pivot axis (138). A lift link lock latch bar (198) is pivoted about the axis of pendulum shaft (188) by a pendulum weight (194) and moved into a position in which movement of the lift link (146) relative to the first wing 14 is blocked. Retraction of the cylinder 154 moves the first wing (14) toward a transport position and the pendulum weight 194 pivots the lift link lock latch bar (198) away from the lift link (146) thereby freeing the first wing (14) to pivot to its transport position.

  • Patent number: 4560011
Abstract: An inter-row crop cultivator for use particularly in severe residue conditions such as in minimum tillage conservation applications is disclosed. A leading gauge wheel providing support and soil surface tracking is immediately trailed by two laterally displaced discs which cut away from the row. Aft of the two cutaway discs and directly to the rear of the gauge wheel is a stabilizing and cutting coulter which prevents side to side sway while cutting and reducing residue ahead of a sweep shank which directly trails the cutting coulter. By severing and dividing the residue, the cutting coulter permits the residue to flow over the sweep and around the shank. The shank is adapted to receive an anhydrous ammonia applicator and knife assembly which may be easily and securely mounted to the shank. A plurality of such inter-row crop cultivators may be mounted on a tool bar.

  • Patent number: 4520876
Abstract: A guide and gauge wheel assembly for a tool bar row crop planter has an arm mounted on the tool bar and pair of wheels rotatably mounted on non-linear axles. The axles are selectively mounted on lateral sleeves and upwardly and outwardly inclined sleeves secured to the arm to position the wheels in a toe-out and camber position, or a side-by-side parallel position.

  • Patent number: 4518047
Abstract: Ballast blocks are located within a tool bar of an agricultural implement to increase its weight. Modular blocks of concrete are inserted into the tool bars and held by end retainers. The blocks are provided with bevels and notches for cooperation with an extractor to simplify removal of blocks when this is desired.

  • Patent number: 4377979
Abstract: The planter includes a number of forward tillage units each followed by an aligned planting unit. Both units are independently mounted by four-bar linkages to the planter frame. Each tillage unit includes a leading banded coulter followed by a pair of rolling row cleaning discs which are, in turn, followed by a fluted coulter. The system may be used in any of the following planting modes: (1) no-till planting, in which the fluted coulter only is used to prepare a narrow band of soil for planting with no trash removal; (2) ridge planting or till-planting, in which the row cleaning discs clear a deeper wide band before the fluted coulter while leaving bands between the row crops untilled; (3) minimum tillage planting, in which the row cleaning discs may be used to clear a shallow band of surface trash before the fluted coulter; and (4) conventional planting, in which the tillage units are raised and not used.

  • Patent number: 5066533
Abstract: A laminated structure includes a wafer member with a membrane attached thereto, the membrane being formed of substantially hydrogen-free boron nitride having a nominal composition B.sub.3 N. The structure may be a component in a mechanical device for effecting a mechanical function, or the membrane may form a masking layer on the wafer. The structure includes a body formed of at least two wafer members laminated together with a cavity formed therebetween, with the boron nitride membrane extending into the cavity so as to provide the structural component such as a support for a heating element or a membrane in a gas valve. In another aspect borom is selectively diffused from the boron nitride into a <100> surface of a silicon wafer. The surface is then exposed to EDP etchant to which the diffusion layer is resistant, thereby forming a channel the wafer member with smooth walls for fluid flow.
