    Abstract: The invention of the present subject matter relates to a sinter bonded projectile comprising a core component and a copper component which has been sintered in such a manner to form a solid mass over the core. More particularly, the invention of the present subject matter provides a core component to which a copper component is melted at a temperature sufficient that it penetrates into the pores and geometry of the core component under compression due to thermal shrinkage, resulting in a tightly bonded solid mass containing no voids. The invention of the present subject matter also provides a process for manufacturing the projectile.

    Abstract: An internal combustion rotary engine with multiple cylinders and rotary crankcase supported on a pair of engine stub shafts. The connecting rods are each connected to a different center arranged evenly around the drive center of a stepdrive element. The stepdrive element which is polygonal or circular is offset from the rotational axis of the crankcase within which it revolves. The stepdrive element drives the crankcase through a series of links. As each piston fires the connecting rod is inclined to the piston travel axis and the angle between the connecting rod and the stepdrive element center is close to 90 degrees. As the piston moves through its power stroke the cylinder rotates with the crankcase maintaining the mechanically advantageous 90 degree angle for about 100 degrees of crankcase rotation. Symmetric and asymmetric cylinder layouts, Diesel and 2-stroke layouts are disclosed.

    Abstract: A method of injection moulding or casting comprises forcing a solid bar of the material to be moulded or cast as a plunger into a closed heating chamber having a discharge opening. The heating chamber is maintained at a temperature above the melting or plasticizing temperature of the moulding or casting material so that the leading end of the bar on entering the chamber melts or plasticizes therein and displaces molten or plasticized material from the chamber through the discharge opening. Apparatus comprises a body member formed with a heating chamber and a straight passage leading into the chamber, a plunger formed of the material to be moulded or cast being slidable in the passage. A thermal barrier may divide the passage into two successive portions.
