Abstract: A cable support apparatus and method are disclosed. The cable support apparatus includes at least two substantially rigid cable support sections and an elongated flexible member configured and adapted to interconnect the at least two rigid cable support sections to form a flexible junction between the at least two substantially rigid cable support sections. Preferably, the flexible member is bendable, by hand, in at least one of a vertical and a horizontal direction to a selected set configuration. An alternative cable support apparatus includes a rigid spine member and a plurality of cable support members configured and adapted to be selectively mounted to specific locations along the length of the rigid spine member via a snap-fit type engagement. The method of installing includes providing the rigid cable support section and at least one article support member and selectively coupling at least one article support member to the cable support section.

Abstract: A cable support apparatus for a raised floor system comprising at least one support member. The at least one support member is configured to be mounted to a pedestal of the raised floor system and connect with portions of cable trays. The support member, in one preferred embodiment includes a first member and a second member, each defining a slot for positioning on the support pedestal. The support member also includes a plurality of holes for the securing of the first member and the second member together as well as for connecting with cable trays. The cable trays are attached to the support member with an attachment mechanism such as a threaded stud.

Abstract: An intersection member is provided for use in a raised floor system having a plurality of support pedestals, a plurality of floor panels, and at least one cable support apparatus wherein the intersection member includes a cable support section, and connecting portions extending from the cable support section, the connecting portions being configured and dimensioned to retain the cable support section in place when positioned at the intersection of at least two cable pathways. A hardware mounting assembly is provided for mounting hardware relative to a cable support apparatus, which includes a bracket portion configured and dimensioned to support various hardware components and position the components relative to a cable support apparatus, and a plurality of notches formed along the bracket portion, the notches being configured and dimensioned to engage portions of the cable support apparatus such that the bracket portion is maintained a predetermined relative distance from the cable support apparatus.

Abstract: A cable support apparatus is provided including an elongate flexible spine member selectively bendable into a number of different configurations and a plurality of support members, at least some of the plurality of support members being attached to the elongate flexible spine member at least at two points along the length thereof, while permitting substantial bending by hand of the elongate flexible spine member. Each of the plurality of support members defines at least one area adapted to receive and support a cable therein. The cable support apparatus may include a mounting terminal that is formed adjacent a juncture between one of the plurality of support members and the elongate flexible spine member, the mounting terminal is configured and dimensioned to cooperate with hardware to facilitate mounting the cable support apparatus to a structure positioned a vertical distance away from the cable support apparatus.
