  • Patent number: 11406874
Abstract: An exercise device that may be used to perform a complete exercise routine. In some implementations, the device includes three block members. A first block may be in the form of a modified rectangular prism. Sides of the first block may have cutouts extending downwardly from the top of the block for receiving a user's feet or elbows for exercises. A portion of the front side of the first block may slope inwardly toward the bottom of the block, and a portion of the top may slope inwardly toward the front side. At the junction of the top and front sides, a rectangular notch may be provided for cradling a user's upper arm or lower leg for exercises. A second block may be in the form of a rectangular prism, and may be joined to the first block for use in some exercises. A third block may be in the form of a truncated triangular prism, and may be positioned between the first block and the ground to tilt and/or stabilize the first block during some exercises.

  • Patent number: 7618328
Abstract: A practice device that can be used with or without a ball to help further develop the feel and muscle memory of a proper swing. A swing training device includes a handle, a shaft and a weight slidably mounted along the shaft. During the swinging of the club, the weight slides from an end near the user's hands to a distal end away from the user. When the weight reaches the distal end, the weight contacts a stop creating an audible “snap,” giving the user both tactile and audible feedback to the success of the swing. The weight preferably includes a friction adjustment device to control the amount of static and/or dynamic friction between the sliding weight and the shaft. The shaft preferably has a constant cross-sectional area or diameter to provide a set amount of friction during the travel of the weight along the shaft.

  • Patent number: 6146343
Abstract: A ball massage device is provided comprising (a) a massage ball, preferably in the form of an inflated large massage ball, (b) a platform having an elongated opening for receiving a top portion of the massage ball, and (c) a curvilinear (arcuate) base depending from the platform and having an opening for receiving a lower portion of the massage ball. During use of the device, the massage ball is effectively retained within the device by the platform and base which permit portions of the massage ball to extend therefrom. The portion of the massage ball extending above the platform engages the user's back and permits adequate massaging and exercising of the user's back and other body portions.

  • Patent number: 5924930
Abstract: A multiple ball hitting station and a method related thereto are provided. The hitting station preferably has three balls, each movable and each being positioned along a common line. The station is useful for teaching and practicing a level swing, a down swing or an up swing, and helps the hitter to keep the hitter's lead shoulder in for a longer period of time, and provides the hitter with a wider view of the baseball swing area. The method provided involves providing the hitting station and having the batter hit all of the balls with the bat during a single swing.

  • Patent number: 4793180
Abstract: An irreversible humidity indicator having a delayed response time includes a porous plastic carrier having upper and lower opposing surfaces, the upper surface including a depressed region for containing a deliquescent agent coated with a water soluble dye. A sheet of blotter paper overlies the upper surface of the porous plastic carrier and contacts the dye-coated deliquescent agent for absorbing the water soluble dye, and thereby providing an irreversible indication, when the humidity level directly surrounding the deliquescent agent is sufficiently high to dissolve the deliquescent agent. The plastic porous carrier is packaged to isolate the upper surface thereof from direct exposure to the environment to be monitored, and the density and thickness of the plastic porous carrier are selected to delay the passage of moisture-laden air from the lower surface to the depressed region thereof for a predetermined time.
