  • Patent number: 8549826
Abstract: A robotic mower launch point system includes a user interface for an operator to enter a plurality of launch point locations, durations and frequencies, and a vehicle control unit that stores the locations, durations and frequencies, determines a sequence of launches based on the launch point frequencies, and commands the robotic mower to exit a charging station and follow a boundary wire to each launch point in the sequence where the robotic mower mows for that launch point's duration before returning to the charging station. The vehicle control determines the sequence based on the frequency of each launch point relative to a total of the launch point frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20030069790
Abstract: This invention provides a network assisted advertising system where a subscriber may coordinate advertising channels such as newspapers, magazines, radio, television, etc. together with one or more websites of a network such as the Internet. The subscriber is provided tools in a web-based advertising system to construct, maintain and monitor one or more subscriber websites which may include text and photographs. The subscriber is given an access address for each subscriber website for use with other advertising channels. The access address is limited to be less than a predetermined number of characters. When the access address is used by a prospective customer, the web-based advertising system activates the subscriber website. The web-based advertising system protects the subscriber's advertising investment by not providing search tools that may produce other subscriber websites not explicitly linked by the subscriber.

  • Patent number: 6278365
Abstract: This invention provides a security system which remembers an alarm event until either the alarm event is intentionally reset or the condition causing the alarm event is corrected. The security system includes at least one sensor coupled to a hub and at least one hub. A serial chain of hubs is connected to a control unit having a controller. The controller sounding a main alarm when an alarm event is generated by the at least one sensor. After the main alarm is silenced and the security system is disarmed, the controller activates a hub annunciator of a hub connected to one of the sensors having generated an alarm event. When a predetermined period of time from disarming the security system expires, the controller sounds the main alarm if there are any alarm events that occurred during the predetermined period of time that are either not reset or the condition causing the alarm event is not corrected.

  • Patent number: 5699591
Abstract: A security anchor attaches a cable to an article in order to prevent theft of the article. The security anchor includes a disk having a central area and radially extending slots that form wing portions of the disk. The wing portions are rotatable relative to each other to allow the disk to conform to curved surfaces. The security anchor further includes a dome attached to the central area of the disk. The dome houses an end of a cable so that when a force is applied to the cable the force is distributed evenly on the wing portions of the disk.

  • Patent number: 4772878
Abstract: The Merchandise Theft Deterrent Sensor deters theft of display merchandise by implementation of a sensor directly into an anti theft detection system. The Merchandise Theft Deterrent Sensor is attached directly to goods through the use of a pair of specially designed adhesive surfaces; one surface in the form of a peripheral rectangular window surrounds as second surface which is directly attached to a centrally located, moveable piston and electrical membrane switch assembly. The piston membrane switch assembly activates an alarm means if motion on the order of two thousandths of an inch occurs. The Merchandise Theft Deterrent Sensor is assembled in a small rectangular molded plastic container, wherein the closeout lid of the container is flexible to enable in-place checkout of the sensor by minor depression of the lid to activate the moveable piston and electrical membrane switch assembly.
