  • Patent number: 10329507
Abstract: Emissions of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) from diesel engines may be reduced by blending a renewable hydrocarbon distillate with a base diesel fuel. The base diesel may be a fossil diesel fuel, a Fischer-Tropsch diesel fuel as well as a hydroprocessed biodiesel fuel or a combination thereof. The renewable hydrocarbon distillate is a fraction from hydrotreated bio-oil having a boiling point between from about 320° F. to about 700° F.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 1, 2015
Date of Patent: June 25, 2019
    Assignee: Inaeris Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Vicente Sanchez, Jeffrey C. Trewella, Roger L. Leisenring, Jr.
  • Patent number: 9624446
Abstract: Disclosed is a renewable composition derived from the conversion of biomass at an elevated temperature, with conversion optionally in the presence of a catalyst, which is capable of reducing, and thereby improving, a low temperature property of a distillate. A process is also disclosed for mixing such renewable composition with the distillate.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 18, 2017
    Assignee: Inaeris Technologies, LLC

  • Patent number: 4600562
Abstract: A filter for treating a particulate containing exhaust gas stream being discharged from an internal combustion engine. The filter includes a compressible bed through which the exhaust gas flows, said bed being comprised of a mass of randomly disposed metallic fibers which define particulate retaining flow passages. The bed is formed with at least one segment being compressed to a greater density than other similar segments whereby to effect a desired gas flow path through the respective bed segments, and a more uniform distribution.
