  • Publication number: 20240152704
Abstract: Introduced here is a computer program that is representative of a software-implemented collaboration platform that is designed to facilitate conversations in virtual environments, document those conversations, and analyze those conversations, all in real time. The collaboration platform can include or integrate tools for turning ideas—expressed through voice—into templatized, metadata-rich data structures called “knowledge objects.” Discourse throughout a conversation can be converted into a transcription (or simply “transcript”), parsed to identify topical shifts, and then segmented based on the topical shifts. Separately documenting each topic in the form of its own “knowledge object” allows the collaboration platform to not only better catalogue what was discussed in a single ideation session, but also monitor discussion of the same topic over multiple ideation sessions.

  • Patent number: 7654365
Abstract: A two-piece floating disc brake assembly comprises a hub with a plurality of radially extending drive cogs that engage a corresponding plurality of teeth that extend radially inwardly from the disc brake rotor. The disc is retained to the rotor by a plurality of retainers that are bolted to the axially outward surface of the brake rotor to engage the axially outward surfaces of the drive cogs. Axially float of the brake disc relative to the brake hub is provided by a plurality of axially slots between the drive cogs that are deeper than the thickness of the drive cogs. Because the axial clearance is established by the depth of the radial slots alone, tolerance on axially float is easier to maintain and is independent of the thickness of the brake disc.

  • Patent number: 5938238
Abstract: Pneumatic lift control devices for use in progressively controlling the amount of front end lift of an automobile during acceleration comprise a housing having an annular chamber disposed therein. A piston is slidable disposed axially within the annular chamber. Means are provided for retaining the piston within the annular chamber. A pressure-tight seal is formed between the piston and the annular chamber to enable pneumatic pressurizing of the claimer, and to prevent pressure loss from the chamber during slidable movement of the piston. A snubber is disposed within the annular chamber between the piston and a portion of the housing to resist axial displacement of the piston within the chamber. The snubber is formed from an elastically deformable material that, with the pressurized chamber, provides a progressive resistance to piston axial displacement.
