  • Patent number: 7731519
Abstract: A first electrical connector part is adapted to be universally applicable to a wide variety of many different types of electrical connectors. In order to assure that the electrical connection is maintained, a complemental latching member is provided which is designed to fit a variety of existing electrical connectors. The complemental latching member has an internal cavity and telescopes over the universal electrical connector to coact with a given existing connector having guide keyways or orientation key elements in particular locations and latch the universally applicable electrical part in mating relation with the existing electrical connector. Thus, a discrete complementary part is provided which telescopes over the universal connector part and shields any exposed O.E.M. conductive parts from the environment and has a latching or locking member which shields a locking abutment on the universal part to maintain the electrical connection.

  • Patent number: 6796329
Abstract: A compact fluid pressure control solenoid valve including a gate valve has outer and inner sleeves. The outer sleeve has ports connected thereto for the admission of pressurized fluid and the delivery of pressurized fluid from the pressure control valve to the work or back to a sump. The inner sleeve has formed therein at least a pair of fluid grooves, and the outer sleeve acting in conjunction with the grooves to form passages for hydraulic fluid flow to and from the gate valve and from main valve chamber. The inner sleeve has a main valving chamber with the gate valve being formed at one end of the main valving chamber.

  • Patent number: 6624733
Abstract: A solenoid assembly has a U-shaped bracket with outwardly extending mounting appendages. A solenoid coil has one end supported by the U-shaped bracket, a centerplate for centering and supporting the opposite end of the solenoid coil and a trapping plate for trapping the centerplate and solenoid coil in the U-shaped bracket. The U-shaped bracket has at least one tear-off tab attachment appendage and a break-off necked-down portion connecting the at least one attachment appendage to the U-shaped bracket whereby the tear-off tab can be torn off by twisting either up or down, side to side, or by rotating the tab around the neck axis.

  • Patent number: 5148720
Abstract: A conventional lock-up solenoid having a long delivery tube and mounting bracket with outwardly extending mounting legs is mounted on a transmission torque converter case requiring a lock-up solenoid with a short delivery sleeve. This is accomplished by a spacer member constituted by a pair of spacers carried on threaded studs which are received in the tapped holes. In effect, the spacer shortens the long delivery tube so that it fits the space of a short delivery tube lock-up solenoid. If the transmission is one requiring a long delivery tube, it is installed without the spacer and as any other replacement lock-up solenoid.
