Abstract: The power circuit-breaker is provided with at least one arcing chamber which extends along a central axis and has at least one power interruption point with at least one contact which is moved by a drive. A closing resistor is connected in series with the power interruption point, having a resistive contact which is connected in parallel with the closing resistor and which closes after the power interruption point during the connection operation and opens after the power interruption point during the disconnection operation. This power circuit-breaker has a closing resistor and a resistive contact which has a simple and space-saving structure and which accurately timed actuation of the resistive contact is achieved. The resistive contact is mechanically connected to the at least one moving contact rectilinearly along at least one axis.

Abstract: A cutting cylinder for transversely cutting or perforating a material web running in a rotary press, preferably a printed web in a rotary printing press, has at least one displaceable cutter bar. The cutter bar, pressing a displacing surface provided at the cutting cylinder with a contact surface, is displaceable in the circumferential direction of the cutting cylinder by an adjusting device connected to the cutter bar in a frictionally engaged manner pressing the cutter bar via at least one wedge surface. The wedge surface points toward the displacing surface at an acute angle (.alpha.).

Abstract: A process for the formation of a scale-like stream of folded printed copies wherein the printed copies are delivered directly to claws from a folding jaw cylinder and are transported onward while being held by the claws. An apparatus for the formation of a scale-like stream of folded printed copies possesses a traction device--for example a toothed belt--by means of which the printed copies are transported onward from a folding jaw cylinder. The traction device is provided with claws for accepting and holding the printed copies in a grasping manner during transportation.

Abstract: The filtering apparatus comprises at least one filtering material pleated in fanfold formation and arranged between the inflow or upstream side and the outflow or downstream side. Each pleat open toward the inflow or upstream side possesses a rounded base. The radius of the rounded base is in the range of 0.05 to 0.3 times the pleat depth. Each pleat open toward the outflow or downstream side terminates in an acute angle. A dimensionally stable insert is positioned within each pleat which is open toward the outflow or downstream side. The insert is preferably formed of flat material and comprises bilaterally protuberant deformations. The inserts are provided with bores at least at the protuberant deformations. Each of the inserts space the two confronting downstream sides of the associated filtering pleat and prevent that the filtering material, at high-pressure conditions, is pressed together and becomes impervious at the locations pressed against the inserts.

Abstract: Machine permitting a deep slitting in a periphery of non planar discs for obtaining wheels carrying a pneumatic tire, wherein the disc to be slit is driven in rotation on a floating support, that is a support which automatically compensates for flatness irregularities while slitting knurling means are mounted on a driving device which is rigidly supported on a fixed frame.
