    Abstract: Systems and methods for electrically connecting components within a battery pack without the use of wires are disclosed. In one embodiment, the invention provides a battery pack that includes a housing and one or more cells positioned inside the housing. Each of the cells includes a positive terminal and a negative terminal that are positioned on a first end of the respective cell. The cells are connected to a connection component that includes one or more slots positioned parallel to the positive terminal and the negative terminal of the respective cell. The connection component connects the cells in a predetermined arrangement.

In some aspects and in some constructions, the invention may provide a nailer including a magazine operable to support a strip of fasteners in an orientation therein, the magazine defining an insertion opening therein through which the strip of fasteners is insertable into the magazine, the insertion opening having a configuration, the strip of fasteners having a configuration complementary to the configuration of the insertion opening, the strip of fasteners insertable into the magazine only when the strip of fasteners is in the orientation.

The reciprocating saw may include a locking assembly for locking the grip in a pivoted position relative to the body and a switch assembly at least partially supported on the grip. The switch assembly is preferably inoperable when the locking assembly is in an unlocked condition, and the locking assembly preferably cannot be moved to the unlocked condition when the switch assembly is in an operating condition.
