  • Patent number: 4255885
Abstract: PCT No. PCT/US79/00927 Sec. 371 Date Nov. 1, 1979 Sec. 102(e) Date Nov. 1, 1979 PCT Filed Nov. 1, 1979An earthmoving scraper has a pivoting floor which pivots from a closed position to an open position to dump and spread material previously loaded into the bowl of the scraper. Various types of earth being loaded and spread require different dump openings of the pivoting floor and varying heights of the strikeoff blade which spreads the dumped earth. Heretofore, it has been difficult for the operator of the earthmoving scraper to selectively position the pivoting floor and strikeoff blade to insure a specific dump opening and a specific height of the earth material as it is spread.

  • Patent number: 4086967
Abstract: An end bit for selective and adjustable mounting to an earthmoving vehicle structure, such as a bulldozer blade, having opposite corner portions. The bit includes transversely extending cutting edge portions and a mounting portion adapted to be selectively mounted to either of the opposite corners of the blade with one or the other of the cutting edges exposed in cutting position and with the nonexposed cutting edge disposed in a retracted position. The mounting portion is further adapted to permit the bit to be selectively repositioned on either blade corner portion in any one of a plurality of different extended positions to compensate for wear of the exposed cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 3997275
Abstract: A force transmitting connection for interconnecting a pair of members to transmit force therebetween includes a pair of spaced apart brackets secured to one of the members and disposed on opposite sides of the other member with each of the brackets having an open-ended substantially U-shaped slot formed therein. A force transmitting device is connected to and projects outwardly from the other member and is nested within the U-shaped slots. A retainer apparatus bridges the space between the brackets and is removably secured to the brackets and has a pair of spaced projections which are disposed on opposite sides of the other member and extend into the slot embracing the force transmitting device to retain the force transmitting device within the slots.
