Abstract: An apparatus for emitting pre-programmed songs at a pre-determined tempo or a selectable tempo of either one or two beats per rotation of the rope. The apparatus comprises a rope or like material, contained at each end by a handle. One handle includes an electrical circuit integrally contained within. The electrical circuit includes a storage means for storing ten or more songs, a sensing means for correlating the rotation of the rope with the emission of musical notes, an annunciator means to produce the notes, an external switch to select or deselect power to the circuit, a switch to select the desired tempo of the pre-programmed songs and a switch to select a particular song from the series of preprogrammed songs.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for the strain-free mounting of a component, such as a mirror, in a manner that allows differential thermal expansion or contraction to take place without distortion of the component. The mounting method makes use of a linear bearing that is rigid in all directions except one. Such a linear bearing is used at two or more points of support on the circumference of a mounting circle or circles. Relative motion in the linear bearings occurs along a line which is an extension of a radius of the mounting circle. The linear bearings each contain two sets of opposed rolamite mechanisms moving in parallel directions in the perpendicular arms of a "Y"-shaped frame.

Abstract: A film handling apparatus blower system. The system includes a blower having a high-pressure, low-volume section and low-pressure, high-volume section. The high-pressure, low-volume section is a scroll-type centrifugal blower with a circular impeller of cellular material to minimize discernible noise, an axial intake port, and a high-pressure outlet port. The high-pressure outlet port is coupled to a duct which directs the output high-pressure air flow into a film cassette. The low-pressure, high volume section is also a scroll-type centrifugal blower having a bladed fan wheel, an axial intake port, and three low-pressure outlet ports. One low-pressure outlet port is coupled to a duct which directs output air flow to a location for flow adjacent the rearward portion of a projection lamp. A second low-pressure outlet port is coupled to a duct which directs output air flow to a location for flow adjacent the frontal portion of the projection lamp.
