  • Stadium seating system with improved concrete tread panel design

    Abstract: A stadium and arena seating system is provided which preferably utilizes pre-cast concrete tread surfaces and metallic or other non-concrete vertical risers therebetween. The pre-cast concrete treads have non-concrete front embeds embedded within the front of the treads respectively, and an integrally formed upwardly extending concrete lip portion for shedding water from the upper adjacent riser that eliminates the need for a non-concrete rear embed. The front embeds may comprise a metallic or other non-concrete material similar to the vertical risers. The vertical risers are arranged in a shingled fashion overlapping the upwardly extending concrete lip portion of the treads to provide water and debris shedding. In a further aspect, the upwardly extending concrete lip portion may optionally be formed with a plurality of pre-formed mounting holes through which fasteners for fastening a lower portion of the riser may be received.

    Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for remotely displaying cursor and tool operation in a conferencing system can be used for manipulating a remote cursor in a computer conferencing system, the computer conferencing system including a first participant coupled to a second participant via a communication medium. This process comprises the steps of: 1) selecting a remote cursor tool using the first participant's system, the remote cursor tool being a computer implemented function represented by an icon; 2) displaying the icon representing the remote cursor tool with an associated shadow only on the first participant's display and only while the tool is selected; 3) activating the remote cursor tool; and 4) displaying the icon representing the remote cursor tool without an associated shadow on both the first and the second participant's display only while the tool is active, the icon being displayed on a second display in a position corresponding to a position of the icon on a first display.
