  • Patent number: 6203396
Abstract: A magnetically coupled mannequin joint is provided which includes a first portion and a second portion which is rotatably movable about the axis of the first portion and slidably movable along that axis. The first portion and the second portion may be secured in a position where the first portion and the second portion are substantially secured in a direction parallel to the axis by magnetic attraction. The first portion and the second portion have joint surfaces which interfit with each other such that, from said secured position, rotation of the second portion about the axis simultaneous with sliding the second portion parallel to the axis moves the joint to a position where the first portion and the second portion are substantially unsecured.
