  • Patent number: 4537483
Abstract: An improved optical projection viewing system is provided with a novel wide projection angle relay projection lens and a novel magnifying biocular viewing lens. The magnifying biocular viewing lens has non-symmetric front and rear biconvex surfaces having a uniform field distance when viewing the entire image on the viewing screen. The biocular viewing lens has positive distortion and color separation which is compensated for by negative distortion and color separation provided in the relay projection lens.

  • Patent number: 4495732
Abstract: A wafer holding chuck for a wafer sectioning machine is provided with a substantially flat chuck plate having an extremely flat resilient strip support for supporting only a very small area of the wafer above the surface of the chuck plate at a point opposite the rotating abrasive tool. The pressure of the highly accurate rotating abrasive tool engages the front surface of the wafer to be sectioned and the resilient strip support conforms to the rear surface of the wafer causing the abrasive tool to make uniform contact with the front surface of the wafer being sectioned so that the section cut in the wafer is extremely uniform.

  • Patent number: 4449799
Abstract: An optical projection viewing system of the type having a rotating lenticular screen mounted in an adjustable viewing housing is provided. The height of the front of the viewing housing is adjustable up and down to adjust to the proper eye level of the user. The optical path of the system is provided with structure which automatically changes the direction of the optical path to automatically adjust for height adjustment of the viewing housing.

  • Patent number: 4304260
Abstract: A valve device for a metering unit is provided with a planar sheet flexible diaphragm adapted to be formed in the area over the valve seat by placing the valve cover on the valve body with the flexible diaphragm therebetween. Means for forming the planar sheet flexible diaphragm over the valve area into an arcuate-shaped fluid channel portion are provided on the valve case.

  • Patent number: 4289129
Abstract: An injection site apparatus is adapted to be attached to a continuous unbroken portion of a flexible tube of an intravenous delivery set. The apparatus is provided with a recessed channel for supporting and bending a portion of the flexible tube. The apparatus is provided with a piercable closure and a needle guide which are axially aligned with a portion of the recessed channel. The piercable closure and needle guide align a hypodermic needle in axial alignment with the center of said flexible tube to prevent interference therewith.

  • Patent number: 4261356
Abstract: A method is disclosed for controlling the dispensing of fluid from a source at a hydrostatic pressure involving the sequential measuring and dispensing of predetermined volumetric increments of fluid from the source of fluid during different ones of a series of time intervals. Apparatus is also provided for controlling the dispensing of fluid, including metering means for receiving a predetermined increment of fluid and for emptying the predetermined increment of fluid, conduit means for delivering fluid from a source of fluid to the metering means, and control means for actuating the metering means between a condition for receiving one predetermined increment of fluid and a condition for emptying the predetermined increment of fluid.

  • Patent number: 4248223
Abstract: A parenteral fluid administration apparatus is provided as an assembled sterile kit which can be placed in use rapidly without danger of contamination. Means are provided for automatically supplying a predetermined amount of parenteral fluid through the conduit between the parenteral fluid supply and the needle adapter to remove entrapped air therein as the apparatus is set up for use.
