Patent number: 10137461Abstract: A flotation machine includes a stator positioned in a tank adjacent a rotor. The stator has a plurality of vanes. Each of the vanes has a plurality of slots formed therein. Each of the slots has a shape that is elongated in a direction along the width of the vane in which the slot is formed. Each of the vanes is spaced apart from the other vanes to which that vane is adjacent. The vanes are positioned in series adjacent a periphery of the stator to define a central opening within the stator that is sized such that the rotor of a flotation machine may be positioned therein. The stator may be retrofitted onto a prior flotation machine installation. For instance, a stator may be offered for sale and then installed onto a flotation machine. A previous stator may be removed before the installation of the new stator.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2013Date of Patent: November 27, 2018Assignee: FLSMIDTH A/SInventors: Keri Caldwell, Timothy J. Publication number: 20140326643Abstract: At least one froth receiving device may be positioned in a slurry retained in a tank of a flotation cell of a flotation machine. Each of the froth receiving devices may be positioned adjacent to froth formed in the slurry by being positioned in the tank at a height that positions the froth receiving device in the froth or near the froth. Each froth receiving device may receive froth to extract the froth from the tank. In some embodiments, the extracted froth may be sent to at least one particle separation device so at least a portion of solid material in the froth is separated from liquid of the froth. The separated solid material may be moved to another machine for further processing for recovering the desirable material while any remaining solid material and liquid may be sent to another device for being utilized in further material processing.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2011Publication date: November 6, 2014Applicant: FLSmidth A/SInventors: Timothy J. Publication number: 20080034768Abstract: A refrigeration control system in combined refrigeration appliances of the type comprising: a refrigerating compartment; a freezing compartment; a compressor; an evaporator; a refrigerating compartment fan and a freezing compartment fan; and a control means to activate and deactivate the compressor and both the refrigerating compartment fan and the freezing compartment fan as a function of the activation and deactivation temperatures detected by the refrigerating compartment temperature sensor and the freezing compartment temperature sensor. The control means is operatively associated with the refrigerating compartment fan to selectively and periodically adjust the speed of the latter, so that the temperature of the refrigerating compartment reaches a deactivation value of the refrigerating compartment fan at the same time in which the temperature of the freezing compartment reaches a deactivation value of both the freezing compartment fan and the compressor.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2005Publication date: February 14, 2008Applicant: WHIRLPOOL S.A.Inventors: Fabio Pimentel, Moacyr Mezavila, Alexandre Schmid, Rogerio Rodrigues, Alexandre Rebello Rucker, Marco Marques
