  • Patent number: 4843511
Abstract: A magnetic disk cassette of simplified design is provided for improving the disk cleaning function of a cassette liner and for stablizing the lateral motion of a magnetic disk rotating within the cassette in the region where the disk is coupled to a magnetic head for data recording or reproduction purposes. The magnetic disk cassette includes a magnetic disk and a pair of friction reducing, disk-cleaning liners with one liner being located on each side of and immediately adjacent the magnetic disk. When the magnetic disk cassette is fully assembled, the magnetic disk is sandwiched between the liner and a pair of disk-enclosing covers.

  • Patent number: 4805753
Abstract: Apparatus for limiting the force transmitted in either of two directions includes an overload or excessive force actuated switch that generates an excessive force indicating electrical signal that can be employed for drive source interrupting purposes whenever the force to be transmitted equals or exceeds a predetermined magnitude in either of two force transmitting directions and terminates this electrical signal when the force to be transmitted in either of two directions is less than or is reduced below a predetermined magnitude.

  • Patent number: 4355462
Abstract: A machine having a multiplicity of work stations for performing a series of sequential operations on a work piece has all of said operations grouped into a plurality of generally homogeneous categories, with the motions required to perform operations in any particular category being provided by a single motion-generating cam, there being one cam for each category of operations.

  • Patent number: 3933555
Abstract: A method of fabricating a succession of photographic diffussion transfer film units, each including photosensitive and second sheets secured in face-to-face relation; a container of processing composition; and means for collecting and retaining excess processing composition. In the fabrication method a succession of photosensitive elements are adhered in superposed position with a second element to form a sandwich -- such adherence to be accomplished without the employment of external transverse binders or tapes. Other components of the film units, including containers, processing composition trapping elements and associated components are preferably mounted along lateral and/or transverse portions of the structure with subsequent transverse severance of the composite units each from the other to form individual film units.
