  • Publication number: 20240143139
Abstract: A proximity-enabled machine control system includes a user mobile device having a processor, a touch sensitive screen coupled to the processor, and non-transitory computer readable media with code segments executable on the processor for: (a) determining if the user mobile device is within a proximity zone of a machine: (b) displaying on the touch sensitive screen at least one machine control button for the machine; (c) detecting an activation of the at least one machine control button by the user; and (d) developing a machine control signal to control the machine.

  • Publication number: 20020125685
Abstract: A trailer hitch alignment system for allowing a user to easily align a hitch of a vehicle with a trailer hitch. The trailer hitch alignment system includes a magnetic base, a hinge attached to the magnetic base, a coil spring attached to the hinge, a telescoping shaft attached to the coil spring, and an indicator attached to the distal end of the telescoping shaft. The indicator preferably is comprised of a spherical structure having one or more reflective strips positioned thereupon. The hinge preferably includes a wing nut compressing a compression spring for allowing adjustment of the frictional engagement of the hinge. The user utilizes two of the trailer hitch alignment devices wherein one is attached to the hitch and the other to the bumper of the vehicle with the respective indicator of each properly aligned.

  • Patent number: 4700183
Abstract: A new format for numerical displays is provided wherein open portions or notches occurring in the ordinary display are closed. By such arrangement, the present invention enables a complete arrangement of numbers ranging in value from 0 to 9 to all have the same height and width. Such numbers are especially useful in electrophoretic or liquid crystal displays, as well as active displays using light emitting diodes.

  • Patent number: 4686524
Abstract: A photosensitive electrophoretic display device is described which provides real time imaging without a reset cycle. This display device operates by the use of interdigitized electrodes at an addressing side of the display on which a photoconductor material having a varying resistance according to light exposure is provided in order to vary the electric field across the electrophoretic suspension. This enables movement of electrophoretic particles according to application of the proper voltages and light exposures.

  • Patent number: 4650288
Abstract: An electrically conductive photoresist electrode is formed by a combination of a photoresist and conductive black powder. This conductive photoresist has the properties of being photosensitive, electrically conductive, and black to avoid reflectivity by the electrode structure, as occurs in display devices.

  • Patent number: 4522472
Abstract: An electrophoretic display device is described where a set of anode electrodes in an electrophoretic cell are disposed opposite row and column electrodes at a second side of the electrophoretic cell. The anode electrodes encompass equal pluralities of at least the row electrodes, and such equal pluralities of electrodes are connected in parallel. This significantly reduces the number of leads to the display.

  • Patent number: 4450440
Abstract: An electrophoretic bar graph display is provided wherein the number of electrodes is significantly reduced. This occurs by application of one of three voltage values to each of a plurality of electrodes at one side of the display in accordance with the value to be displayed, and one of two voltage values to each of a number of electrodes at the other side of the display corresponding to each one of the plurality. The two voltage values alternate in value with the three voltage values. A cursor type display can also be provided having an indication segment of contrasting color from the remaining electrophoretic fluid.

  • Patent number: 4364670
Abstract: An elapsed time indicator is constructed to operate by electrophoresis wherein light colored particles suspended in an organic liquid are caused to move in a tube device by applied electric fields. The movement of the colored particles results in a visible color bar being indicative of the transit time of the particle, and providing an indication of elapsed time. Reversal of the polarity on the device results in its reuse.
