  • Publication number: 20180033035
Abstract: A method for generation and distribution of protected user-specific information includes encrypting, by a processing device of a computer system, using a first encryption key of an encryption key pair, predetermined digits of a payment account number, the encryption yielding an encrypted identifier. The processing device of the computer system then generates a machine-readable code that is encoded with the encrypted identifier and additional data. A transmitting device of the computer system transmits, via an electronic communication, the generated machine-readable code to an electronic device of a user and transmits a second encryption key, of the encryption key pair, to a specialized computer system, wherein the second encryption key is associated with the first encryption key used to yield the encrypted identifier.

  • Publication number: 20170300948
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in predicting purchases in regions based on payment account transaction data from in and around the regions. One exemplary method includes generating a purchase propensity model based on historic transaction data and determining a recent sales value of the region based on a set of transactions that occurred in the region during a recent time interval. A set of consumer accounts that include transactions in the region during the recent time interval is determined. The computing device calculates consumer propensity scores for the consumer accounts based on the purchase propensity model. The propensity scores are combined into an overall purchase propensity for the region. The overall purchase propensity and recent sales value of the region are used to determine a predicted sales value of the region, whereby businesses in the region make business decisions confident that the predicted sales value is accurate.

  • Publication number: 20170161715
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for rerouting funds, associated with transactions between consumers and merchants, to direct-pay accounts associated with creditors that provide loan and/or credit arrangements to the merchants. One exemplary method generally includes identifying, by a computing device, funds directed to a primary payment account associated with a merchant during settlement of at least one transaction for which funds are directed to the merchant. The computing device then routes a first portion of the funds to a direct-pay account associated with a creditor of the merchant, whereby the first portion of the funds is delivered to the direct-pay account in service of a debt between the creditor and the merchant, without the first portion of the funds being appended to the primary account associated with the merchant. The computing device then also routes a second portion of the funds to the primary account associated with the merchant.

  • Publication number: 20170148081
Abstract: A method is provided for recommending relevant merchants for a consumer at a given geographical location. The method generally includes identifying, using a computing processing unit, transactions processed over at least one payment device network as being associated with a payment network account of a consumer. The identified transactions are then parsed to extract ISO 8583 formatted data. By evaluating the extracted ISO 8583 formatted data and determining a location of the consumer, a list containing merchant that are available for more purchases and within a predetermined distance to a geographical location of the consumer are determined. Furthermore, the list may be refined by evaluating the strength of the intersect between a plurality of consumer vectors and a plurality of merchant vectors.

  • Publication number: 20170148058
Abstract: As part of an online shopping process, a user's selection of offers, services, etc. is facilitated. A merchant's e-commerce server may form a composite display page that includes a display page section transmitted to the e-commerce server from a payment gateway in connection with an online purchase transaction. The display page section may include offer options selected or gathered by the payment gateway. The e-commerce server may serve the composite display page, including the offer options, to the customer in the online purchase transaction. The customer may easily select among the offer options, and may effect sign-up therefor without entering personal information to implement the offer, because that information has already been collected or become available during a checkout phase of the online purchase transaction.

  • Publication number: 20170116602
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a point of sale device may read a user's biometric information. The point of sale device may then execute an encryption algorithm on the biometric information read to create a token key value. The point of sale device may also receive a personal identification number value from the user and transmit the token key value and the personal identification number value to an authentication server. The authentication server may determine that the received token key value and the personal identification number value match a verified token key value and a verified personal identification number value in a registered user database. The authentication server may then transmit a signal to the point of sale device indicating that the received token key value and the personal identification number value match the verified token key value and the verified personal identification number value in the registered user database.
