Patent number: 12181588Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for a power management framework that can computationally minimize the power consumption of a device with Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) enabled. The disclosed framework can analyze the operating characteristics of a device (e.g., applications executing, movement, battery level, signal strength and current battery consumption of the device, and the like), which can provide an indication of the device's need for updated location information, and determine a frequency for updating RTK. Thus, the disclosed framework provides computerized mechanisms for the automatic optimization between the need for an RTK power update and the device's capabilities for actually performing the update.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2021Date of Patent: December 31, 2024Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Yuk Lun Li, Rohit Shirish Saraf, Praveen Nair, Ritika S. Patent number: 12165393Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for the management of lane-departure (LD) events. One method includes training a classifier for LD events and loading the classifier into a vehicle. LD events are detected based on outward images using the classifier, while the turn signal is monitored to prevent false triggers. If an LD event is detected, rules are checked for alerting the driver and deciding whether to alert the driver or not. Subsequently, additional rules are checked for reporting the event and deciding whether to report the event to a Behavior Monitoring System (BMS) or to discard it. The method also includes a solid line departure model that identifies crossing dashed, solid-white, and solid-yellow lanes, delaying alerts and event generation until a significant portion of the vehicle crosses over the lane. The model also outputs a confidence score reflecting the amount of vehicle deviation from the driving lane.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2024Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Samsara Inc.Inventors: Akshay Raj Dhamija, Abner Ayala, Rohit Annigeri, Cole Jurden, Douglas Boyle, Jason Liu, Kevin Lai, Jose Cazarin, Pang Wu, Nathan Hurst, Brian Westphal, Lucas Doyle, Saurabh Tripathi, Shirish Nair

Patent number: 12085397Abstract: A system and method include providing a list of children to be picked up by a vehicle at a particular stop along a route to a driver device. The provided list is displayed as part of a graphical user interface which includes a plurality of pick up options for each child in the list of children. The options include a picked up interface button, a no show interface button and a canceled button. The graphical user interface provides a picture and identification of each child. The server device transmits a message to a user device with confirmation that a child has been picked up. The server device also provides a list of children to be dropped off by the vehicle via a graphical user interface that also provides drop off options for each child in the list of children including a dropped off button or an on hold button.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2023Date of Patent: September 10, 2024Assignee: Zum Services, Inc.Inventors: Abhishek Garg, Alexey Kononov, Shiva Nagabushanaswamy, Sidi Liu, Andrew Mormysh, Sreejith Nair, Kanstantsin Gerasimovich, Rashmi Choudhary, Rohit Jain, Melissa Shiu, Niket Sanghvi, Lipi Sanghi
