Abstract: Techniques for generating and validating map data that may be used by a vehicle to traverse an environment are described herein. The techniques may include receiving sensor data representing an environment and receiving map data indicating a traffic control annotation. The traffic control annotation may be associated, as projected data, with the sensor data based at least in part on a position or orientation associated with a vehicle. Based at least in part on the association, the map data may be updated and sent to a fleet of vehicles. Additionally, based at least in part on the association the vehicle may determine to trust the sensor data more than the map data while traversing the environment.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a system and method for storing print jobs. The system and method comprise acquiring print job data representative of a desired print job, which print job data is comprised of a PDL format associated with a selected printer device and selectively storing the print job data in a selected storage location or cabinet in a storage medium. The system and method further comprises acquiring print status information including data representative of a name associated with the print job data and data representative of a size of the print job data and selectively storing the print status information associatively with the print job data. The system and method also comprises selectively communicating the print job data to generate an image for display in an associated display device and selectively communicating the print job data to the selected printer device to obtain a printout thereof.

The visual rendering of the associated document, incorporating the watermark, is then generated.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and system for automatically and continuously updating a printer driver configuration. A first computer program residing on a controller, which acts to monitor the printer configuration, is activated. The printer configuration is read from the controller configuration and updates the DEVMODE data. The detection of a change in any attribute of the printer configuration causes a second program to activate. DEVMODE data is updated using a data layout described in an XML file. The data layout in the XML file will be packaged with the controller during building, as well as being available on a CD-ROM or other portable device, or stored on a central location and accessed over a computer network for the updating printer drivers on the controller when new versions are released. The second program retrieves current printer configuration data using SNMP communications and writes this data to the registry.

Abstract: A system and method for sequencing pages in a document processing device which is capable of implementation on any type of document processing device. The method begins with the receipt of document data representing a series of pages for output by an associated document rendering device, device data representing document output capabilities corresponding to the document rendering device, and instruction data representing duplex, collating and number of copies associated the document data. Page sequencing data is then generated, via a page sequencer, for associating each page of received document data with a document face in an output thereof by the associated document rendering device in accordance with the document data. Face sequencing data is also generated, via a face sequencer, for relative association of document faces in pages of an output of the associated document rendering device in accordance with received instruction data.

Abstract: A system and method for tracking errors in a document processor during document processing operations. The system uses a job monitor that monitors the document processing operations performed by an associated document processing device. The job monitor periodically receives job status data indicating the status of the job being processed. When the job status indicates that an interruption in the processing of the job has occurred, an alert notification message is generated. The alert notification message includes the name of the job interrupted, the type of interruption, and the amount of the job completed prior to the interrupt. The alert notification message is then transmitted to a designated destination corresponding to a user application from which the job originated or to a system administrator application.

Abstract: Architecture for providing tab printing for a computer platform. A text data stream is generated and transmitted from the computer platform to a print controller, which text data steam includes tab information. The text data stream is parsed at the print controller to extract the tab information. A tab image file of the tab information is created from the tab information at the print controller. A face file is created from the tab image file, ad forwarded to a peripheral output device, where the peripheral output device processes the face file to output a tab document having the tab information.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for applying a unique output characteristic to each document in a document set. The system and method is for use with a document processing system wherein multiple copies of a document are generated and each copy of the document has a unique output characteristic which distinguishes that copy from the other copies of the document set. In one embodiment, each copy has at least one of a unique watermark inserted or applied to the copy or is generated on a unique output medium so as to distinguish such copy from the other copies in the document set.
