  • Publication number: 20250013464
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with adaptive code scanning are described. In one example method, a valid configuration that specifies approved parameters of use for a software component is defined. Software code is scanned to detect that the software component exists in the software code. Where the component is detected, the software code is scanned to identify implemented parameters of use for the software component. The implemented parameters are compared to the approved parameters. Based on the comparison, the software component is determined to be not implemented according to the valid configuration. Where the software component is implemented according to the valid configuration, the method automatically determines to proceed with the automated action based on the implemented parameters. The automated action is performed to adapt to the implemented parameters.

  • Patent number: 12192222
Abstract: A method described herein involves various operations directed toward network security. The operations include accessing transaction data describing network traffic associated with a web server during an interval. Based on a count of new transactions involving an online entity during the interval according to the transaction data, a short-term trend is determined for the online entity. The operations further include applying exponential smoothing to a history of transactions of the online entity to compute a long-term trend for the online entity. Based on a comparison between the short-term trend and the long-term trend for the online entity, an anomaly is detected with respect to the online entity in the network traffic associated with the web server. Responsive to detecting the anomaly, an access control is implemented between the online entity and the web server.

  • Patent number: 12192277
Abstract: A method is performed by a network node connected to one or more additional network nodes via a local area network (LAN). The network node and the one or more additional network nodes form a cloud. The method includes setting a first timer to a first value, the first timer being associated with determining whether one of the one or more additional network nodes is an active controller in the cloud. The method includes starting the first timer. The method includes determining, before the first timer expires, whether a first message that indicates the one of the one or more additional network nodes is the active controller is received. Based on determining the first message is received before the first timer expires, the method includes synchronizing with the one of the one or more additional network nodes that is the active controller, and restarting the first timer.
