Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods for fabricating optical devices. One embodiment of the method includes disposing a structure material layer on a surface of a substrate and disposing a patterned photoresist over the structure material layer. The patterned photoresist has at least one device portion and at least one auxiliary portion. Each device portion and each auxiliary portion exposes unmasked portions of the structure material layer. The unmasked portions of structure material layer corresponding to each device portion and each auxiliary portion are etched. The etching the unmasked portions forms at least one optical device having device structures corresponding to the unmasked portions of at least one device portion and at least one auxiliary region having auxiliary structures corresponding to the unmasked portions of at least one auxiliary portion.

Abstract: A device, system and method for a user equipment (UE) to opportunistically utilize the wireless capabilities of a paired device. The UE is configured to establish a first cellular network connection based on a first subscription, a second cellular network connection based on a second subscription and a connection to a further UE based on a short-range communication protocol. The UE identifies a predetermined condition and transmits an indication to the further UE based on the predetermined condition. The further UE establishes a further cellular network connection in response to the indication and the further cellular network connection is based on one of the first subscription or the second subscription. The UE then declares no service for one of the first cellular network connection or the second cellular network connection based on the further cellular network connection.

Abstract: A series of appliances including a first shell and a second shell can be designed to incrementally implement a treatment plan. The first and second shells can have cavities designed to receive teeth of a jaw. A first number of bite adjustment structures can be formed of a same material as the first shell and extend from the first cavities and be designed to interface with teeth of a second jaw. The first number of bite adjustment structures can have a first shape and location. A second number of bite adjustment structures can be formed of a same material as the second shell and extend from the second cavities and be designed to interface with teeth of the second jaw. The second number of bite adjustment structures can have a second shape and location, different than the first shape and location.

Abstract: This disclosure provides new carbonated beverage bottle design, particularly carbonated soft drink bottle bases, that can afford improvements in various structural and functional features of the blow molded bottles. The bottle base design can be generated by providing a spherical bottle end cap and extruding at least three (3) feet from the spherical end cap, wherein the center portion of each valley cross section between the extruded feet is convex.

Abstract: Managing a network environment to identify spoofed packets is disclosed. A method includes analyzing, via a first capture agent, packets processed by a first environment in a network associated with a first host, and analyzing, via a second capture agent, packets processed by a second environment in the network associated with a second host. The method includes collecting the first data and the second data at a collector and generating a topological map of the network and a history of network activity associated with the first environment and the second environment. The method includes extracting network data from a packet and comparing the extracted network data with stored network data in the database. When the comparison indicates that the extracted network data does not match the stored network data (i.e., the reported source does not match an expected source for the packet), determining that the packet is a spoofed packet.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to manage digital assets owned by a user and hosted by a first online service provider and a second online service provider. Provided herein is a gateway system comprising: a trusted authentication interface; one or more processors; and memory including instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to at least: authenticate the user with the first and second online service providers using the trusted authentication interface; and instruct, via the trusted authentication interface, the first and second online service provider to take an action with respect to one or more of the digital assets, the first and second online service providers to trust the instructions from the trusted authentication interface without further authenticating the user.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to knowledge based authentication whereby a user is authenticated through third-party linked accounts. The method includes receiving an authentication request from a merchant computer, assessing one or more data fields to generate an authentication challenge for the user, connecting to one or more third-party account service provider to extract user-related data, generating the authentication challenge based on the extracted user-related data from the third-party account service provider, posing the authentication challenge to the user on a user device, receiving a response to the authentication challenge, and returning the authentication response to the merchant.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure present devices, methods, and computer readable medium for techniques for measuring operational performance metrics, and presenting these metrics through an application programming interface (API) for developers to access for optimizing their applications. Exemplary metrics can include central processing unit or graphics processing unit time, foreground/background time, networking bytes (per application), location activity, display average picture luminance, cellular networking condition, peak memory, number of logical writes, launch and resume time, frame rates, and hang time. Regional markers can also be used to measure specific metrics for in application tasks. The techniques provide multiple user interfaces to help developers recognize the important metrics to optimize the performance of their applications. The data can be normalized over various different devices having different battery size, screen size, and processing requirements.

Abstract: An integration platform provides a third party channel products from a merchant, so that the third party channel may cause an opportunity to be presented to a user to purchase one of the products. In response to an indication of a user purchase, the integration platform transmits a purchase request to the electronic commerce platform to create an order for the purchase. The integration platform may create a payment for the purchase with the merchant's payment processor and transmit the payment to the payment processor, update the order with the merchant's electronic commerce platform with the payment information, update the status of the order to shipped, and capture payment information by communicating with the payment provider. The merchant's electronic commerce platform may then update the order with the integration platform, which may notify the third party channel of the update so that update may be communicated to the user.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to re-establish a packet data network connection. The wireless device may establish a packet data network connection via a cellular link with a cellular base station. Information identifying a bearer associated with the packet data network connection may be stored by the wireless device. The wireless device may determine whether the bearer associated with the packet data network connection is active. The packet data network connection may be released by the wireless device and the wireless device may attempt to re-establish the packet data network connection if the bearer associated with the packet data network connection is determined to not be active.

Abstract: A method for protecting and sharing a data file using a block chain network, and an apparatus therefor are provided. The method includes encoding, at an electronic device in a blockchain network, at least one portion of data to be transmitted to another electronic device, generating a packet based on the data including the encoded at least one portion, and transmitting the packet from the electronic device to the other electronic device, wherein a transaction block recorded on the blockchain network is updated based on a transaction information regarding the transmission of the packet. The transaction information includes forward-lock information for indicating whether the at least one portion of the data is forward-locked.

Abstract: Techniques for transforming digital text content using expressions are described. According to various implementations, a text editor system determines that digital text content of a digital document is modified via application of a particular style that differs from other digital text content of the digital document. The text editor system identifies a pattern characteristic to the modified digital text content, and generates a digital expression that identifies the pattern, and generates a style expression that combines the digital expression with a digital style that represents style attributes descriptive of the style modification applied to the modified text content. The text editor system applies the style expression to search digital text content, identify matching digital text content that matches the digital expression, and transform the matching digital text content by applying the digital style to modify the matching digital text content.

Abstract: A method for treatment of a brain and/or spinal cord includes inserting a flexible catheter into a cerebrospinal fluid space, the flexible catheter including two lumens adapted to allow a fluid to circulate therein in a closed loop within the flexible catheter and the flexible catheter being adapted to be connected to a device for cooling and circulating the fluid. The cerebrospinal fluid in the cerebrospinal fluid space is cooled with the flexible catheter to enable selective central nervous system cooling. The functional status of the brain and/or spinal cord is monitored, and the treatment of the brain and/or spinal cord is modified to adjust for any change in the functional status of the brain and/or spinal cord.

Abstract: Systems and/or devices for implementing a tracking device for tracking a position/location and orientation of an object are provided herein. The device comprises one or more sides that define a predetermined shape, and a plurality of inertial measurement units (IMU) mounted to the one or more sides of the predetermined shape. Each IMU is configured to detect movement of the object and generate inertial output data representing a position and/or orientation of the object. Each IMU includes a first sub-sensor and a second sub-sensor. Each IMU is positioned at a predetermined distance and orientation relative to a center point of the tracking device.

Abstract: A single centralized metadata repository for an entire enterprise can maintain the metadata pertaining to various different web service applications on application servers of heterogeneous types within the enterprise. The metadata items stored in the centralized repository all can be stored in a same canonical format that can be expected and understood by all metadata accessors. The metadata maintained within the central repository can be given a life span that is linked with the life span of the web service application to which that metadata pertains. When a web service application is deployed on an application server, metadata pertaining to that webservice can be pushed automatically to the central repository for storage. When such a web service application is undeployed from an application server, the metadata pertaining to that webservice can be removed automatically from the central repository so as not to waste storage space.

Abstract: An automatic speech recognition (ASR) system detects an endpoint of an utterance based on a domain of the utterance. The ASR system processes a first portion of the utterance to determine the domain and then determines an endpoint of the remainder of the utterance depending on the domain.

Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to managing paging area information for a user terminal (UT) and connection signaling. In some aspects, paging area information is provided for an idle UT by defining a default paging area code (PAC) that is known by the network and the UT. In some aspects, paging area information is communicated via connection signaling. In some aspects, connection signaling may be used to force a UT to invoke an update procedure (e.g., a reconnection).

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for performing custom waypoint missions using an onboard computing device in communication with a movable object. The movable object can include a flight controller, and a communication system. The flight controller can be in communication with the onboard computing device which includes a processor and an onboard data manager. The onboard data manager can receive at least one input, determine one or more instructions to be performed by the at least one movable object based on the at least one input, generate movement commands to implement the one or more instructions, and send movement commands to the flight controller to be executed.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems, methods, and computer readable media for sub-cluster recovery in a data storage environment having a plurality of storage nodes. In a particular embodiment, the method provides scanning data items in the plurality of nodes. While scanning, the method further provides indexing the data items into an index of a plurality of partition groups. Each partition group includes data items owned by a particular one of the plurality of storage nodes. The method then provides storing the index.
