  • Patent number: 11965512
Abstract: A dual pump unit having a pair of pumps that provide parallel hydraulic paths, and are configured to operate concurrently in opposite rotational directions. The dual pump unit has a sealed casing which includes a suction flange, two volutes in hydraulically parallel configuration, and a discharge flange. The pair of pumps are located within a respective volute of the casing and, in an example, are radially inline and horizontally inline. The casing may include a flattened bottom. • Publication number: 20240123991
Abstract: A trailer tow assist system including a camera that captures a rearward image of the trailer and its surroundings, a human machine interface that displays the rearward image, an input device that receives user input, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor receives the rearward image, identifies a target-space within the surroundings, determines a vehicle orientation relative to the target-space, determines a trailer angle relative to the vehicle, determines a trailer trajectory within the surroundings, and displays the trailer trajectory and rearward image on the human machine interface. The electronic processor also controls, in response to the user input, the vehicle to follow the trailer trajectory along a centerline of the trailer trajectory.

  • Publication number: 20240126254
Abstract: Provided are methods for drawing paths for remote vehicle assistance. The methods can include receiving a goal location responsive to an input provided via a graphical user interface and generating a plurality of candidate paths based on the goal location and a starting location of a vehicle. Each candidate path can represent a corresponding trajectory from the starting location to the goal location. The plurality of candidate paths can be provided via the graphical user interface as a representation of at least one corresponding cost and at least one corresponding constraint associated with each corresponding candidate path. A path selection can be received via the graphical user interface and data associated with the selected path can be provided to the vehicle to implement the corresponding trajectory. Systems and computer program products are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20240123987
Abstract: A method may include receiving training data comprising a time series of gaps between an ego vehicle and one or more lead vehicles at a plurality of time steps, embedding the training data into a fixed-length sequence, inputting the fixed-length sequence into a Transformer-RNN model comprising a Transformer component and an RNN component, wherein the transformer component applies attention to each data point of the fixed-length sequence based on a fixed number of previous inputs, and training the Transformer-RNN model, using the training data, to output a predicted gap at a future time step based on an input sequence of gaps.

  • Publication number: 20240129398
Abstract: An electronic device includes a device housing and a blade assembly carrying a blade and slidably coupled to the device housing. The electronic device includes a translation mechanism operable to slide the blade assembly relative to the device housing. The electronic device includes one or more processors operable with the translation mechanism. The one or more processors cause the blade assembly to move to a position where dimensions of a front-facing portion of the flexible display correspond to a preferred aspect ratio for content being presented on the front-facing portion of the flexible display.

  • Publication number: 20240126325
Abstract: A method in an electronic device identifies an operating context of the electronic device. The method determines a content presentation size of content corresponding to the operating context. The method then translates a blade assembly carrying a blade and flexible display that is slidably coupled to a device housing, as well as movable between an extended position, a retracted position, and optionally a peek position, to a position accommodating the content presentation size. Thereafter, one or more processors of the electronic device can present the content on the flexible display.

  • Publication number: 20240129399
Abstract: An electronic device, method and computer program product enable an automatic increase in a size of a display to present more visual content responsive to a gaze direction. The electronic system monitors eye gaze direction. The electronic system presents a first portion of visual content on a flexible display while a flexible display support structure is at least partially retracted. In response to the visual content having an un-displayed second portion that is contiguous with the first portion and determining that the eye gaze direction has traversed the first portion towards one of a translatable edge of the flexible display support structure or an opposite edge of the first housing in a direction of the un-displayed second portion, the electronic system triggers the translation mechanism to extend the flexible display support structure. The electronic system presents the first and second portion of the visual content on an extended flexible display.

  • Publication number: 20240123975
Abstract: Provided are methods for generating a proposed trajectory for a vehicle at a remote vehicle assistance system. One or more user inputs defining the proposed trajectory may be received at the remote vehicle assistance system. The proposed trajectory may be validated for compliance with one or more constraints imposed by a motion planner of the vehicle. Examples of constraints include the proposed trajectory being within a drivable surface and not colliding with one or more objects present in a surrounding environment of the vehicle. If the remote vehicle assistance system is unable to validate the proposed trajectory, the proposed trajectory may be redrawn instead of being sent to the vehicle. Systems and computer program products are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20240126457
Abstract: An apparatus includes a cache controller circuit and a cache memory circuit that further includes cache memory having a plurality of cache lines. The cache controller circuit may be configured to receive a request to reallocate a portion of the cache memory circuit that is currently in use. This request may identify an address region corresponding to one or more of the cache lines. The cache controller circuit may be further configured, in response to the request, to convert the one or more cache lines to directly-addressable, random-access memory (RAM) by excluding the one or more cache lines from cache operations.
