Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for node management performed by a client driver of a client device comprising receiving cluster topology data from the cluster system; transmitting, a data request to each of a plurality of nodes in a cluster system; receiving a reply from each of the nodes that are responsive; assigning, by the client driver, based on the received replies, a responsive status for each of the nodes that are responsive or a non-responsive status for each of nodes that are non-responsive; updating a listing of management data, wherein the management data includes: an identification of each of the plurality of nodes, and a current status of each of the plurality of nodes; and routing, by the client driver, a client request to one of the plurality of nodes that are responsive based on the cluster topology data.

Abstract: An automatic vertical farming system including: vertical supports adapted to accommodate a plurality of tray-receptacles in a vertically-stacked arrangement showing a plurality of tray positions, the tray-receptacles each being adapted for farming plants in a soilless growing environment, wherein the vertical supports provide a tray position being an irrigation station for the tray-receptacles, and a tray-receptacle transport device arranged and adapted to move the tray receptacles along the vertical supports between different tray positions.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for increasing web browser security on a user device managed by a device management system. In an example, the user device can use an unmanaged web browser to access secure enterprise content using a browser extension provided by the enterprise. When a user attempts to access secure content from an unmanaged browser, the device management system can communicate with the extension and a management application on the user device to authenticate the user and verify that the user device complies with certain policies. In one example, the device management system can include an extension recommendation engine that analyzes user browsing data and recommends browser extensions for the user. Based on policies, the device management system can recommend the extension to the user or force installation of the extension on the user device.

Abstract: A system and a method for connecting a tutor with a student in real time. Initially, the system receives a student profile. Further, the system receives a question from the student. Furthermore, the system synthesizes the question based on a set of predefined machine learning model. Subsequently, the system determines a cohort of the students from the set of the cohort of the students. The cohort of the students is determined based on the one or more parameters related to the question. Further, the system identifies a tutor assigned to the cohort of the students. Subsequently, the system notifies the tutor in real time. Further, the system receives an acknowledgement from the tutor within a predefined time. Finally, the system connects the tutor with the student in real time when the acknowledgement is the positive acknowledgement.

Abstract: A text-to-speech engine creates audio output that includes synthesized speech and one or more media content item snippets. The input text is obtained and partitioned into text sets. A track having lyrics that match a part of one of the text sets is identified. The location of the track's audio that contains the lyric is extracted based on forced alignment data. The extracted audio is combined with synthesized speech corresponding to the remainder of the input text to form audio output.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to building an in-memory multi-level data structure useable to determine presence or absence of key ranges in files consisting of database records. In various embodiments, a computer system operates a database, including maintaining a set of records having a set of corresponding keys that are accessible in key-sorted order and generates a multi-level data structure that facilitates key range lookups against the set of records. The generating may include accessing ones of the set of keys in key-sorted order and determining, for a particular accessed key that includes a set of characters, an intermediate level within the multi-level data structure and a subset of the characters of the particular accessed key for insertion. The computer system may insert, starting at the intermediate level, information that identifies the subset of characters, with the inserting being performed without traversing any levels before the intermediate level.

Abstract: A cellular network includes a first network component configured to i) identify a first session between a first data network and a user equipment (UE), wherein the first session corresponds to a first session management function (SMF), ii) receive data network access information (DNAI) from a network function, the DNAI corresponding to a second data network and iii) select a second SMF that is to be utilized for a second session between the second data network and the UE. Abstract: Provided is a voltage level shifter that operates in sub-threshold voltages. The level shifter includes a level shifting stage. The level shifting stage receives a first signal from a first voltage domain and outputs a second signal to a second voltage domain. The level shifter includes a first auxiliary stage. In response to the first signal having a first voltage level corresponding to a first logical state and a first node of the level shifting stage having a supply voltage level, the first auxiliary stage sources current to a second node of the level shifting stage. Sourcing the current to the second node accelerates a transition of the first node to a reference voltage. The level shifting stage outputs a second signal to a second voltage domain.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for controlling user equipment (UE) functionality according to a second cell type bias mode, associated with the UE being within a coverage area of first and second cells of first and second cell types of a network. In some examples, the first cell type may operate in at least a first frequency band and according to a first communication mode and the second cell type may operate in at least a second frequency band and according to a second communication mode. The second cell type bias mode may correspond with a bias favoring the second cell type, the second communication mode, or combinations thereof.

Abstract: Automated management of software code change and deployment in an information processing system is disclosed. In one example, a method comprises the following steps. The method obtains one or more parameters specifying a software deployment following at least one code change to a set of one or more software programs. The method distinguishes first portions of the set of one or more software programs that are affected by the at least one code change from second portions of the set of one or more software programs that are unaffected by the at least one code change. The method generates at least one deployment script for causing deployment of the first portions of the set of one or more software programs without causing deployment of the second portions of the set of one or more software programs.

Abstract: A personalized adaptive cruise control (P-ACC) system and associated algorithm are disclosed for determining a driver's preferred following gap in relation to vehicle speed based on periods of steady-state operation of a vehicle. While the P-ACC system is activated, vehicle transition states initiated by driver manual interventions such as takeover or overwrite events are used to identify subsequent periods of vehicle steady-state operation. Vehicle dynamics data captured during periods of steady-state operation is stored as steady-state data, which is then used to train a machine learning model to learn the driver's preferred following gap. This learned relationship is fed into second-order vehicle dynamics to determine a target acceleration for achieving the desired following gap while the P-ACC system is activated. Upon achieving the desired following gap, the vehicle speed may be held constant to maintain the following gap unless a change in lead vehicle speed necessitates updating the following gap.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for requesting a cellular IP address by initiating a call with a modem, establishing data packet network connectivity with the cellular IP address, assigning the cellular IP address to a virtual L2-bridge interface, wherein the virtual L2-bridge interface includes a MAC address, mapping a MAC address of a virtual machine with the MAC address of the virtual L2-bridge interface, detecting a change in the cellular IP address, and updating the virtual L2-bridge interface with a different cellular IP address while maintaining the data packet network connectivity.

Abstract: In a teleconferencing method, a first media stream and a second media stream of a teleconference are received, by processing circuitry of a first device, from a second device. The first media stream includes first audio and the second media stream includes second audio. Default weight information is received from the second device. The default weight information indicates a first audio weight for weighting the first audio and a second audio weight for weighting the second audio. The first audio weight for weighting the first audio and the second audio weight for weighting the second audio are determined based on the default weight information. Mixed audio is generated, by the processing circuitry of the first device, by combining a weighted first audio based on the first audio weight applied to the first audio and a weighted second audio based on the second audio weight applied to the second audio.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for monitoring services in a multi-service system and detecting deviations in health metrics and/or business metrics of one or more of the services. In response to detecting a metric deviation for a given service, an enhanced message is generated detailing specific data associated with the detected deviation. The enhanced message is generated and transmitted to a recipient address associated with a services that may be affected by the deviation. An action service monitoring messages being received by a domain associated with the recipient address analyzes the information included in the message content. According to the analysis of the message, an action to be performed is identified according to the detected deviation and one or more action requests are generated and transmitted to one or more components and/or services of the multi-service system.

Abstract: A device includes an elongated hollow member having an open distal end for receiving tissue therein and at least one exterior groove for loading at least one ligation band thereon. The device also includes a band deployment sleeve slidable over the exterior of the hollow member and configured to move from a radially expanded position to a radially contracted position in which, when the band deployment sleeve slides longitudinally over the hollow member, the distal portion engages the at least one ligation band. A closing sleeve slidable over the exterior of the band deployment sleeve is configured to constrain the distal portion from the radially expanded position into the radially contracted position. Retracting the closing sleeve proximally over the distal portion of the band deployment sleeve releases the distal portion from the radially contracted position into the radially expanded position.
