Abstract: The described techniques are directed towards a host virtual machine configured to host a container. In some examples, a device can monitor communication between a container executing on a host virtual machine and the host virtual machine. The host virtual machine can include a first operating system. The container can include a first computer-executable instruction. The device can detect that the first computer-executable instruction is configured to run on a second operating system based on monitoring the communication between the container executing on the host virtual machine and the host virtual machine. The device can further detect a second computer-executable instruction that is configured to run on the first operating system, the second computer-executable instruction can be accessible to the host virtual machine. The device can further include mounting the second computer-executable instruction from the host virtual machine into the container.

  • Patent number: 11635995
Abstract: A multi-cloud service mesh orchestration platform can receive a request to deploy an application as a service mesh application. The platform can tag the application with governance information (e.g., TCO, SLA, provisioning, deployment, and operational criteria). The platform can partition the application into its constituent components, and tag each component with individual governance information. For first time steps, the platform can select and perform a first set of actions for deploying each component to obtain individual rewards, state transitions, and expected returns. The platform can determine a reinforcement learning policy for each component that maximizes a total reward for the application based on the individual rewards, state transitions, and expected returns of each first set of actions selected and performed for each component. For second time steps, the platform can select and perform a second set of actions for each component based on the reinforcement learning policy for the component.

  • Publication number: 20230124235
Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for accessing data. A data stream including a plurality of data elements is received. A mapping of the plurality of data elements is generated. Each data element is represented by a data node in the mapping. A linked list of the data nodes with starting and ending elements is generated. Each node is linked to at least another node and stores a count of a data element and the corresponding data element. The count represents a number of times the data element is present in the data stream. Each node is positioned in the generated linked list using the count of each data element. Data elements with a highest count are positioned proximate to the starting element and data elements with a lowest count are positioned proximate to the ending element. Data elements are accessed using the generated mapping.

  • Publication number: 20230122955
Abstract: An integrated circuit may include multiple instances of a component (e.g. a processor) and a control circuit. The instances may be configured to operate in various modes. Some of the modes are incapable of presenting a worst-case load on the power supply. The control circuit may be configured to monitor the instances and detect the modes in which the instances are operating. Based on the monitoring, the control circuit may request to recover a portion of the voltage margin established for worst-case conditions in the instances. If the instances are to change modes, they may be configured to request mode change from the control circuit. If the mode change causes an increase in the current supply voltage magnitude (e.g., to restore some of the recovered voltage margin), the control circuit may cause the restore and permit it to complete prior to granting the mode change.

  • Publication number: 20230118349
Abstract: Technology described herein can perform deletion of a snapshot or portion thereof. In an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can comprise, to delete a snapshot, or a portion of a snapshot, of a real filesystem, reading an inode mapping file (IMF) of the snapshot that indexes a virtual inode number (VIN) corresponding to a real inode. The operations further can comprise identifying the real inode of the snapshot referenced by the VIN, identifying a file object corresponding to the real inode, and deleting the file object from the snapshot.

  • Patent number: 11632166
Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to enabling a user terminal (UT) to obtain information about nearby cells and any beams generated by nearby cells. For example, a network can send a neighbor cell list to UTs, where the list identifies the cells in that neighborhood and provides information about any beams generated by those cells. Thus, a UT can learn the neighboring beams/cells that the UT can reselect to if the current beam/cell becomes weak. In some aspects, the UE can learn the attitude (e.g., pitch, roll, yaw, or any combination thereof) profile of neighboring satellites as well as the pointing angles and the ON-OFF schedules of their beams. In some aspects, the UT can learn a start angle and a span for a satellite and use this information to identify a satellite the UT can reselect to if the current beam/cell becomes weak.

  • Patent number: 11631206
Abstract: Glyph selection techniques are described for digital text content that enable selection of non-contiguous glyphs via input describing at least one path of any shape or form relative to the digital text content. A text selection system receives freeform drawing input defining a path and ascertains a selection scope for outputting a text selection relative to the path. The selection scope indicates whether the text selection is to include glyphs that intersect the path, glyphs displayed within an area enclosed by the path, glyphs displayed outside an area enclosed by the path, or combinations thereof. The text selection system is configured to identify a subset of glyphs for inclusion in the text selection, without constraint as to whether the subset of glyphs are contiguous in the digital text content, and output the subset of glyphs as a single selection of the digital text content.
