    Abstract: Techniques to reduce bandwidth usage through multiplexing and compression are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a local interface component and an external interface component The local interface component may be operative to receive a plurality of communication requests. The external interface component may be operative to transmit through a communication channel a multiplexing of the plurality of communication requests, the multiplexed communication requests compressed during transmission.
