A vibration sensor or measurement of current changes of a motor of the operating system can be used to detect vibrations to monitor the characteristic natural frequencies. Torsional oscillations or measurement of current and voltage changes of a motor of the operating system, can also be used to monitor the characteristic natural frequencies.

    Abstract: An X-ray tube assembly includes a hermetically-sealed annular frame, spaced apart cathode and anode rings and an electron excitation device. The frame surrounds an exterior central passage for receiving a patient therethrough and has an interior chamber with a vacuum and an X-ray transparent window ring surrounding the central passage. The cathode and anode rings are stationarily mounted to the frame and disposed within the interior chamber. The cathode ring has circumferentially arranged side-by-side filaments each separately excitable by the electron excitation device to cause flow of electrons in an e-beam to a target portion of the anode ring such that an X-ray beam is produced that exits the interior chamber passing through the transparent window ring and that can be moved around the patient disposed within the central passage.

    Abstract: An X-ray tube frame support assembly includes an annular support structure defining an interior chamber and having an interior surface surrounding and spaced radially outwardly from an X-ray tube frame disposed within the interior chamber, a quantity of cooling fluid contained in the interior chamber about the X-ray tube frame, and contact elements spaced from one another and mounted to the support structure so as to protrude radially inwardly from the interior surface into the interior chamber of the support structure and through the quantity of cooling fluid contained therein toward the X-ray tube frame such that the contact elements contact and hold the X-ray tube frame therebetween. Each contact element includes a body defining a hollow interior cavity and having apertures allowing passage of the cooling fluid into and from the interior cavity of the body for providing a passive damping of any vibrational movement of the X-ray tube frame.

At least two spaced-apart tub suspension subassemblies each include a cylinder, a rod, a piston, and a spring. The cylinder is attached to one of the first and second members. The rod has a first end positioned within the cylinder and has a second end attached to the other of the first and second members. The piston is positioned within the cylinder and is attached to the first end of the rod. The spring is positioned within the cylinder between the first and second ends of the rod. Preferably, a pair of balance rings are attached to the clothes basket.
