Publication number: 20120298735Abstract: The invention relates to envelopes intended to convey information or a message printed or glued to the interior. The envelope includes a cut in its rear wall allowing enlargement of a communication area that is intended to receive a message carried by the inner face of a flap and of a front wall. An integral opening system is included for preventing any damage of this area during opening. This allows for direct marketing or transmission of confidential information.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2011Publication date: November 29, 2012Inventors: Roland Andre, Eric Dhaussy, Didier Farge, Jacques Bertrand

Patent number: 7614182Abstract: A method for separating a lump piece of rosette plants. The method includes the steps of gripping a rosette plant and positioning it parallel to a longitudinal axis of an elongated holder which has a longitudinal opening at least along the longitudinal axis; introducing a part of the lump piece of the rosette plant into the holder via the mentioned longitudinal opening; cutting off the lump piece along a cutting plane parallel to the longitudinal axis, while closing the longitudinal opening, such that the introduced part of the lump piece is enclosed in the holder; and removing the enclosed cut-off part of the lump piece from the holder. The method includes the further step of cutting off a part of the rosette plant enclosed in the holder along a second cutting plane.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2003Date of Patent: November 10, 2009Assignee: Nederlandse Organisatie voor toegeast- Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek TNOInventors: Michiel Peter Oderwald, Justus Laurens Herder, Roland André Pieter Higler

Patent number: 6923233Abstract: A runflat radial ply tire (70) having a thread (72), a carcass (86) and a belt structure (74) radially located between the thread and the carcass has two sidewalls (80, 82) each reinforced with a circumferentially disposed wedge insert (50a?, 50b?) having a saw-tooth cross-sectional shape. The saw-tooth cross-sectional shape of each wedge insert (50a?, 50b?) is defined by a plurality of circumferentially disposed segments (52a–52e), each of which is separated from adjacent segments by circumferentially disposed grooves (54a–54d). During heavy loading of the tire, or during runflat operation, the radially loaded sidewall portions deform until the grooves (54a?–54d?) undergo closure.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1999Date of Patent: August 2, 2005Assignee: The Goodyear Tire & Rubber CompanyInventors: Jean-Marie Girault, Percy Anthony Lemaire, Roland Andre Terver

Patent number: 6499521Abstract: A pneumatic radial ply tire with an aspect ratio of less than 50 has a ground contacting tread radially outward of a circumferential belt structure which in turn is radially ourtward of a carcass structure. The carcass structure has a pair of bead areas that include a bead foot compatible with a conventionally-shaped wheel rim having flanges with laterally extending portions. The carcass structure has a cord-reinforced elastomeric ply layer extend laterally between the two bead areas and radially inward of the belt structure. The tread area is directly connected to the bead areas without a sidewall. Rim flange protectors comprising a continuous circumferential elastomeric projection extend laterally outward from each bead/tread area and thereby radially outward of the rim flanges.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2001Date of Patent: December 31, 2002Assignee: The Goodyear Tire & Rubber CompanyInventors: Jean-Marie Girault, Percy Anthony Le Maire, Roland Andre Terver
