  • Patent number: 6548100
Abstract: A complementary combination liquid/paste sauce composition and a dry, particulate seasoning composition, both of which are interdependent for effective cook up is taught. The sauce is fluid and thus has a selected amount of water and could be subject to microbiological attack which in turn requires pH control. The seasoning component is designed to buffer acidic taste of the the sauce composition to achieve selected taste.

  • Patent number: 5120616
Abstract: A process for the disposal of rechargeable storage cells based on sodium and sulphur includes embedding each storage cell in a wax-like, solid material and then opening the storage cells. After opening, the sodium is first removed from the storage cell. Subsequently, the storage cell is opened further, and reaction products, a second reactant and components of the storage cell are taken out for re-utilization or processing to form waste materials that are free of pollutants and capable of disposal.

  • Patent number: 4702775
Abstract: Magnetite pigments are prepared from iron(II) salt solutions by a process in which the mean particle size can be brought to a value within the range from 0.06 to 0.5 .mu.m by means of a residence stage between the precipitation stage and the oxidation stage.

  • Patent number: 4643772
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a mixed-phase pigment based on iron oxide and chromium oxide by heating a mixture of the oxides, hydroxides or oxide hydroxides of iron and of chromium at from 600.degree. to 1100.degree. C. and then comminuting the product and working it up in a conventional manner. The essential feature of the invention is that a mixture of transparent .alpha.-iron oxide having an orthorhombic bipyramidal crystal structure and a chromium(III) hydroxide, which has been applied onto the transparent iron oxide by precipitation with an alkali, preferably sodium carbonate, is heated. The pigments according to the invention give deep colorations and are readily dispersible.

  • Patent number: 4629513
Abstract: Transparent, golden yellow, thermally stable two-phase pigments of the general formula xZnO.ZnFe.sub.2 O.sub.4, where x is from 0.5 to 1.5, are prepared by a method in which the pH of an aqueous phase which contains transparent iron oxide yellow in suspension and zinc ions in solution is brought to 7-10, and the product is treated at above 200.degree. C. before or after being isolated from the aqueous phase.

  • Patent number: 4216275
Abstract: An electrochemical storage cell or battery with one anode chamber containing molten alkali metal as the anolyte and one cathode chamber containing sulfur-containing catholyte substance, the anolyte and catholyte separated by an alkali-ion-conducting solid electrolyte. The cathode chamber is bounded by a cellwall having a protective layer of a light weight metal also serving as a current collector. The light weight metal in the regions in contact with the catholyte is coated with a metallic alloy which under conditions of operation has certain properties of adhesion, conduction, resistance, corrosion and solubility.
