  • Publication number: 20180085276
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for driving the lower limbs of a person, including a base frame; a table supporting the person; at least one motorized mechanical orthosis arranged to constitute an interface with at least one of the lower limbs of the person so that the movements of the lower limb and the orthosis are connected and identical and with the orthosis being attached to one end of the table; and a device for functional electrical stimulation and for measuring an electromyogram including at least one pair of stimulation and measurement electrodes intended for acting on a muscle or muscle group of the lower limb, and for stimulating the muscle or muscle group, as well as for measuring the reaction of the muscle or muscle group, wherein the device also includes a raising mechanism which makes it possible to vary the vertical position of the table relative to the base frame between a low position in which the transfer and the installation of the person are made easier, intermediate working positions,

  • Patent number: 7381192
Abstract: The invention concerns a therapeutic device comprising a mechanical orthotic element (2, 3, 4) designed to constitute a contact surface with at least the patient's lower limbs and a neuromuscular stimulation element (33) including at least a pair of electrodes (37, 38) designed to act on the muscle or muscular group concerned of said patient's limb. The orthotic element comprises two orthoses including each three segments (2, 3, 4) designed to co-operate (11, 13; 12, 14; 15) with respectively the patient's thigh, leg and foot. The first segment is connected at one of its ends through a first motorised articulation (9) to an element (10) designed to co-operate with the patient's body at his hips and at its other end through a second motorised articulation (7) to one of the ends of the second segment. The other end of the second segment is linked through a third motorised articulation (8) to the third segment.

  • Patent number: 5285781
Abstract: An electrical neuromuscular stimulation comprising at least one stimulation unit, which is portable and autonomous, controlled by a detachable and interchangeable information medium, previously programmed as a function of the treatment for each respective patient, equipped at its output with at least one pair of electrodes designed to be applied to the part of the patient's body to be treated and to transmit trains of electrical stimulation impulses intended to cause contractions and muscular exercise or training, said stimulation unit comprising an electronic circuitry (hardware) of the amorphous type, under the supervision of a control software with interactive parameters and linked by coupling and interaction functions, with said software being memorized on the detachable information medium, with it being possible for the value of each parameter to evolve progressively throughout the program between previously programmed reference values, and any parameter being able to control another parameter.

  • Patent number: 5033469
Abstract: The programming device (1) and the stimulating device (2) are capable of independent operation. An on-line link (3) enables them to be connected when they interact. The programming device (1) is used for editing memory cards (12) of the smart card type, designed to record complete treatment programs individualized per patient, when these cards are placed in a receiver (11) equipped with a connector (38) designed to interact with a connector (37) of this card (12). The stimulating device (2) is arranged to operate independently under the control of such a memory card placed in its receiver (25). The on-line link makes it possible, in particular, to modify by means of the keyboard (8) the program recorded on a memory card (12) and in the memory (7) of the programming device (1), in accordance with the reactions of the patient subjected to this program by means of the stimulating device (2), in order to individualize and adapt the program to each patient.

  • Patent number: 4919139
Abstract: A stimulating unit (B) equipped with electrodes (34) includes means for generating trains of electrical pulses of different frequencies, and means (2) controlled by a card (6) on which a treatment program is recorded. A programming unit (A) can be separably connected to the stimulating unit (B) by a detachable cable (22); it includes a keyboard (16), a display (17), a printer and means for recording treatment programs on the cards (6) which are subsequently to be introduced into the stimulating unit (B) in order to control it.The electrodes (34) are applied to the patient during programming, enabling the therapist immediately to check the effect of the programming settings on the patient.
