  • Patent number: 10253680
Abstract: An internal combustion engine having a fuel/air induction system having a crankshaft-driven compression piston that is reciprocated within a fuel/air compression cylinder in a cooperative operation which fills a combustion cylinder with a quantity of fuel/air mixture under pressure during each engine cycle. A combustion piston within the combustion cylinder is reciprocated by the engine crankshaft to further compress the fuel/air mixture charge and harness the power of the ignited mixture.

  • Patent number: 8028685
Abstract: An adjustable cable guide for archery bow provides a housing which supports a pair of rotatable pulleys upon which the cam cables of the bow are received. A slide mounting of each pulley supporting segment is adjustable by a threaded adjustment screw. The entire adjustable cable guide assembly is supportable upon the riser directly or may be supported upon the conventional cable guide bar which extends from the riser.

  • Publication number: 20110080015
Abstract: A pet shelf for use in vehicles includes a pair of angled generally planar members joined in a right angle relationship. One of the angled members defines a support plate which is inserted downwardly within a vehicle door through the gap between the vehicle door and the window. The support plate supports the remaining plate to cover the vehicle door shelf and protect the upholstery material while providing a convenient surface for the dog or other pet to rest upon.

  • Publication number: 20070256675
Abstract: The present invention is an improved compound bow. In particular, the present invention is directed to an adjustable compound bow for hunting and archery with noise reduction features. The preferred embodiment of the bow comprises a riser having a main riser length with two ends, each end attached to an adjustable hub with a limb base. Each limb base preferably has a pocketless flat surface with vibration dampening material. Each hub is secured to the main riser length by an adjustment worm drive and a hub pivot. A limb is preferably secured to each limb base at two points on the pocketless flat surface. A bowstring is strung under tension between the limbs. The bowstring's tension can be adjusted by adjusting the adjustable hubs with the worm drives. The bow preferably has a storage position and an in-use position caused by rotating the limbs around the adjustable hubs. Adjustment of the bow can be accomplished without use of a bow press.

  • Patent number: 6336777
Abstract: This invention is directed to a method of using a two spindle Hurth-Module multi-spindle (or similar) cutting machine to accomplish face hobbing of hypoid and spiral bevel gear sets. A first cutter mounted on a first spindle would rough cut the gears and a second cutter mounted on a second spindle would finish the gears with both cutters using a face hobbing process. According to this process, multiple cutters are used for a single gear, but on a single machine, thereby reducing cutter wear, increasing cutter life, and raising production output of the multi-spindle machine by utilizing both spindles. In one embodiment, a fine pitch cutter is used to create the initial rough-cut of the gear, and a second coarse pitch cutter is used to create the finish cut of the gear.

  • Patent number: 6059898
Abstract: Induction hardening of heat treated gear teeth which includes the steps of rough and finish cutting the gear teeth, or alternatively cutting the gear teeth to their final configuration utilizing a one cut method, carburizing the gear and in particular, the gear teeth, slow cooling, or alternatively drawing back the gear so the gear teeth are not hard, and induction hardening the gear teeth heating only the surface of the gear teeth. This results in improved strength for the gear teeth as a result of increased residual compressive stresses therein. Induction heating of only the surface of the gear teeth results in an relatively low case depth in the root of the gear teeth.

  • Patent number: 5971485
Abstract: An adjustable and foldable chair for massaging an individual provides a pair of upwardly directed support struts pivotally joined by a leg support strut and is able to stand erect on a pair of laterally disposed feet at the ends of the support struts. A buttock, leg, chest, arm and face supports are positionally adjustable. The support struts are convergent with the included angle being adjustable over a range of approximately 47 degrees. This range of adjustability allows the chair to accept the body conformations of children, women and men of all sizes.
