  • Publication number: 20230186042
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining whether a measurement system is used in a valid state, includes: automatically reading out a plurality of information items; automatically obtaining information on current operating environmental conditions; automatically reading reference information items identifying the measurement system components and/or representing one or more characteristics of the measurement system components and information on reference operating environmental conditions; and comparing the read out information items identifying the measurement system components and/or representing one or more characteristics of the measurement system components with the reference information items identifying the measurement system components and/or representing one or more characteristics of the measurement system components, and checking whether the current operating environmental conditions comprise an allowable value or are within an allowable range defined by the information on the reference operating enviro

  • Publication number: 20230177222
Abstract: The disclosure describes a method of protecting a measurement system from unauthorized changes. The method comprises automatically reading out a plurality of information items from the measurement system, wherein the measurement system comprises a plurality of measurement system components and at least one local storage device, wherein the plurality of information items include at least one of identity of the measurement system components or at least one characteristic of the measurement system components; automatically combining the read out information items of each of the plurality of the measurement system components into a data collection and generating a summary data which represents the data collection; creating a signature based on the summary data; and storing the summary data and the signature in the at least one local storage device of the measurement system. This method provides more efficient and secure protection of measurement system and its components from an unauthorized change.

  • Patent number: 7748084
Abstract: An apparatus on a textile machine for cleaning fibre material has a first roller for conveying a fibre web, and second and third rollers which have respective nips with one another and with the first roller on rotation of the three rollers. The second roller is arranged downstream of third roller and so co-operates with the first roller that fibre is opened and detached, the fibre is transferred to the nip with the third roller and is conveyed by the third roller to the nip with the first roller, where it is transferred back to the first roller. To improve the degree of cleaning upstream of the second roller and third there is arranged at least one fixed carding element in which the teeth of the clothing are inclined opposite to the direction of rotation of the first roller.

  • Patent number: 7748085
Abstract: An apparatus on a textile machine for cleaning fibre has a high-speed first roller conveying a fibre web, and second and third rollers. Second roller is arranged downstream of third roller and so co-operates with first roller, that fibre is detached, the fibre is transferred to nip, with third roller and is conveyed by third roller to nip with first roller where it is transferred back to the first roller. A separating knife is arranged downstream of the second roller. In order to improve the degree of cleaning between separating knife and the nip of first roller with second roller there is a separation opening of width about from 40 to 60 mm.

  • Patent number: 7743469
Abstract: An apparatus on a textile machine for cleaning fiber material has a first roller for conveying a travelling fiber web, and second and third rollers which have respective nips with one another and with the first roller on rotation of the three rollers. The second roller is arranged downstream of the third roller and co-operates with the first roller so that fiber is detached, the fiber is transferred to the nip with the third roller and conveyed by the third roller to the nip with the first roller. The rollers have clothing with tips which are inclined in the direction of rotation. To improve the cleaning the front angle ? of the tips of the second roller is about from 10° to 50° and the clothing gaps may be large to obtain a higher filling volume for fibers.

  • Patent number: 7730591
Abstract: An apparatus on a carding machine has a covering comprising work and cover elements lying opposite the clothing of a high-speed cylinder. There is, in succession, an air exhaust opening for the exit of air and an opening for entry of air, past which openings a flow of fibers and air is passed. To allow improved detachment and elimination of short fibers in a simple manner, the spacing of the covering upstream of the exhaust opening is smaller than the spacing of the covering between air exhaust opening and air inlet opening and an airflow flows against the direction of rotation of the cylinder along the surface of the cylinder and flows with short fibers through the air exhaust opening.

  • Patent number: 7706625
Abstract: A sequence of medical images is filtered. The filtering adapts as a function of spatial closeness, similarity of display values, and temporal vicinity. The kernel weights are based on combined spatial and temporal considerations as well as similarity for trilateral filtering. The similarity is a function of time. The similarity may be between display values separated by time or space and time.

  • Patent number: 7702150
Abstract: Frequency distributions are particularly difficult to analyze by means of image processing systems if the digital images to be processed are divided into disjoint image areas and signal processors associated with each image area perform pre-processing of the pixel data. To determine a total frequency distribution, a large number of corresponding table entries must be transferred to a central processor. The invention accordingly proposes that the individual signal processors perform summation of the individual entries in a frequency distribution to obtain a cumulative frequency table. To find a p-quantile, not all the entries of the cumulative frequency tables need to be transferred to the central processor. If the latter in particular performs interval nesting, a value from the cumulative frequency tables only needs to be interrogated a manageable number of times in order to obtain a single entry in the total image cumulative frequency table.
