    Abstract: A pump action shotgun including a main housing, a breech having a main bore and a sleeve within the main bore. A barrel has its rear end telescopically received within the sleeve, the barrel being axially movable from a rear firing position in close proximity to the breech to a forward loading position. The barrel is connected to the sleeve through a pin and groove arrangement so that axial movement of the barrel causes rotational movement of the sleeve. The sleeve being connected to the various mechanisms of the shot gun to operate these when it (the sleeve) is rotated.

    Abstract: A firearm for personal protection purposes is provided which is particularly useful in close combat situations. The firearm comprises a support which is in the form of a finger ring which has a barrel defining a chamber and has a trigger operated firing mechanism operable by the thumb of the same hand of a person as that on which it is worn. The trigger is rotatably mounted to the side of the ring and is spring loaded towards a cocked position.
