Patent number: 4911971Abstract: The invention features, either separately or in combination, a mounting member and an elongated strip of resilient material which strip is secured in and partially surrounds the mounting member, where the resilient strip member has a semi-cylindrical body with a pair of circumferentially facing edge portions. The resilient strip also includes a pair of oppositely disposed, radially-inwardly extending latch members, each extending longitudinally of the latch member and located between one of the edge portions and a point away from the mid-line of the semi-cylindrical body. The mounting member includes a web portion having a pair of oppositely disposed web-latch extensions extending across a chord of the semi-cylindrical body, substantially parallel to a tangent to the circumference of the semi-cylindrical body at its mid-line, and at least one leg member extending from the web portion away from the semi-cylindrical body.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 1988Date of Patent: March 27, 1990Assignee: Boston Metal ProductsInventors: David S. Patent number: 4882866Abstract: A signage system support structure formed from a pair of identical preferably extruded multi-grooved channel members. A connecting element in the form of an elongate rigid panel inserted into an unconstricted medial groove of each channel serves to join two channels. Each channel is additionally formed with a constricted medial groove, a pair of outwardly facing grooves and a pair of lateral grooves on each side of and parallel to the medial grooves. In use the upper and/or lower edges of a sign to be supported are engaged in one or more of the channel grooves with a flat sign having either opposed edges encased in the lateral grooves or a free edge in the constricted medial groove, and an arcuate sign having its edges engaged in the outwardly facing grooves. The signs or supported displays may be formed with engaging tabs displaceable out of the plane of the sign to engage in a groove.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1986Date of Patent: November 28, 1989Inventor: Roland Gebhardt

Patent number: 4152803Abstract: An applicator device comprises two casing parts pivotally connected for movement between a longitudinally aligned closed position and a folded open position, one of said casing parts providing a tape supply chamber and the other providing a chamber for receiving and accumulating the tape after use. A flexible member anchored on the one casing part extends between the casing parts for forming a backing for the exposed material when the casing parts are relatively pivoted to said open position, and the flexible member at the same time acts to advance material out of the supply chamber and toward the other casing part. Unidirectional pawls in the other casing part are effective when the casing parts are relatively pivoted to closed position for preventing retraction of the tape.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 1977Date of Patent: May 8, 1979Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive CompanyInventors: Robert P. Patent number: 4106668Abstract: A device for displaying and storing articles includes a wall structure which defines at least one chamber which is open at one end and which is adapted to receive in its interior a plurality of articles arranged one behind the other with one of the articles situated nearer to the open end of the chamber than the other articles. A pusher engages in the chamber that one of the articles which is most distant from the open end of the chamber, and a spring structure cooperates with the pusher to urge the latter toward the open end of the chamber so that the pusher tends to advance the articles out of the chamber through the open end thereof. A retainer structure is situated at the open end of the chamber for retaining the articles therein in such a way that the particular article which is nearest to the open end of the chamber can be manually removed therefrom, whereupon all of the articles are advanced by the pusher until the next article occupies the space previously occupied by the withdrawn article.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1977Date of Patent: August 15, 1978Assignee: Kayser-Roth CorporationInventors: Roland Gebhardt, Robert P.
