  • Publication number: 20240162002
Abstract: A radiation detector for position-resolved detection of radiation comprises at least one sensor tile with a front side facing incident radiation, and a back side opposite the front side. The sensor tile comprises a sensor material sensitive to the radiation. A front electrode is arranged on the front side of the sensor tile. A braking layer is arranged on the front electrode and at least partly covers the front electrode, for decelerating electrons in the incident radiation. A set of contacts of electrically conducting material is arranged on the back side of the sensor tile and in contact with the sensor material, thereby defining sensor pixels. At least one ASIC comprises a set of readout circuits in electrical connection with the contacts, each readout circuit being configured to process a signal received from the sensor pixel the readout circuit is electrically connected to.

  • Publication number: 20070209019
Abstract: A method of displaying data on a display screen is provided wherein first and second display zones are provided on the display screen. The display zones are sized so that, in combination, they substantially occupy a predetermined display area of the display screen which may, for example, be the display screen of a handheld device. In one embodiment, the relative sizes of the display zones are dynamically set dependent upon content to be displayed in each display zone. For example, a display zone for displaying list content may be larger than a display zone for displaying form content. The display zones may be arranged in a lateral fashion wherein they have substantially similar heights, or arranged in a stacked fashion with substantially similar widths. The respective widths or heights, as the case may be, may be sized dependent upon the content for display in each zone.

  • Patent number: 4604214
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for removing trinitrocresols and picric acid contaminants from a wastewater stream generated in the production of nitroaromatics, particularly dinitrotoluene, by the mixed acid technique. The process involves contacting the crude dinitrotoluene generated by the mixed acid technique with an alkaline medium to generate an alkaline wash water containing water soluble nitrocresols and picric acid therein. This wastewater then, is separated from the organic component or may be recycled for contact with further quantities of crude dinitrotoluene product from the reactor. When the concentration of the water soluble salts of trinitrocresols and picric acid is of sufficient concentration, the wash water is treated with aqueous acid in sufficient proportion to reduce the pH to a level from 3-4.

  • Patent number: 4037069
Abstract: A mat switch includes top and bottom cardboard sheets having opposed faces on which are formed complementary electrodes. Each electrode is a plurality of elongated generally parallel first bands of metal foil adhesively secured to the opposed faces which are electrically interconnected by a pair of second bands perpendicularly directed to the first bands. A relatively thin dielectric sheet is laminated between the opposed faces and includes a plurality of parallel elongated apertures in register with the first bands.
